The Trees For Sale Stamp Set has wonderful “two-step” trees in three sizes. The largest stamp was used (without the two-step stamp) to create the background on today’s card. “Two-step” means there are two stamps, where one is stamped on top of the other to complete the image.

To create the pattern, I stamped rows of trees in Shaded Spruce Ink, “stamping-off” every other row, across Basic White Cardstock. “Stamping-off” means inking the stamp, and stamping on scratch paper before stamping on your project, giving a lighter shade.

After stamping the trees, I used the second largest, Deckled Rectangles Die, for cutting. Then, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to give it a frame of Real Red Cardstock. The two layers were glued to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The focal point was created with the second smallest Deckled Rectangles Die, cutting a rectangle of Shaded Spruce Cardstock and Painted Christmas Designer Paper. The two rectangles were glued together, and attached with Dimensionals.

Christmas tree background

The sentiment, “Christmas Greetings” is from the Trees For sale Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, and cut with the third smallest Deckled Rectangles Die. I used two cuts to make the label the desired size, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For a touch of sparkle, I attached a few Iridescent Rhinestones.

Even if you weren’t lucky enough to get the Tree Lot Dies that coordinate with this stamp set, the Trees For Sale Stamp Set is great for holiday cards.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
