I realized when I finished today’s card, no ink was used; just lots of pretty die-cuts. And, it’s clearly a Christmas card, but in non-traditional colors.

Christmas Stars
You can see how I used the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches for my layout. I know it says “any shape,” but the Stitched Triangles Dies were perfect for this design.
I began with a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Then, I used a Stitched Triangles Die to cut two triangles of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Paper in a Soft Succulent Pattern.

Next, I used the unusual, Stitched Leaves Die, to emboss a Basic White layer, 4″ X 5 1/4″. It was placed on a diagonal to match the shape formed by the triangles.

Now, for the stars (shown in the first picture). I used two dies from the Christmas Trimmings Die Set to cut one large star, and three smaller stars from Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Aren’t they pretty?
The last step was the sentiment, “Merry Christmas,” from the Word Wishes Die Set. I cut the words from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and glued them in place, being careful not to lose the “i”.

Hi Maggie,
I’ve done little with YouTube, but I put all of my cards on Pinterest. You can find me by searching “Su Mohr.” If you want to see my cards as soon as they are published, you can subscribe here by putting your email address where it says, “Don’t want to miss a thing?”

Thank you, Jen! I’m always inspired by Freshly Made Sketches!
Great card!! How do you adhere the stars to your card? Putting glue on the backs seems as if that would be SO messy! What if you wanted to make them stand up a bit? Foam dots wouldn’t work there either. I have a real dilemma adhering thin pieces or word dies. Thanks very much!
Thank you, Casey! You’re right, too much glue can be a disaster. I use tiny, pin dots of glue, and use the tip of the bottle to spread it a bit. It takes patience and reading glasses. LOL. I would use Foam Adhesive Sheets for the smaller star, but wouldn’t attempt the larger star. There would be too many tiny pieces to remove.
