I am so excited about my new counter height desk/table. I spent time researching possibilities, and am very pleased with this selection from officefurniture.com, which included free shipping.
The main drawback was that it had to be assembled, and the reason I put off purchasing for a while. My sweet husband said that he would put it together for me, so I pushed the submit order button. When it arrived, it was in a very, heavy box (yes, it’s sturdy), and in a million pieces. I know I’m exaggerating, but my husband said it would make a nice Christmas gift.
With Simba, as his helper, he put it together in two days, and I’m thrilled I didn’t have to wait until Christmas. I must say, he’s good at reading directions.
It’s set up as my cutting and embossing station, with my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine on the left and my Paper Trimmer on the right. Rather than standing and bending at the waist over a standard height desk, I can now stand comfortably, which is much easier on the back.
This is the manufacturer’s photo which shows the nice detailing on the side.
I’m a very happy stamper, yes indeed! This beauty is a card maker’s dream!

Now I know your secret! Great room and a great supervisor (Simba)! I feel the creativity through the internet! (I’m better with a dog in the room, too, LOL)
I’m so happy for your new addition! I do home health physical therapy, so I am so happy you’re back’s going to be taken care of! Enjoy creating on your new workspace, Su! P.S. Your cards are always SO good — I often click on your name first in a hop to see what you’ve created — I just can’t wait! 🙂
Nice! Wine storage for when you’re crafting, lol. It really would be nice to stand and craft, my friend’s craft table is standing height, room for 2-3 people, with a rarely used stool available, love it. I envy your floor, mine is carpet, yuk!
Your picture looks like the one on their web site. How pretty this is. Do you like the cubby on the side? Is it possible to have it under the drawer in front? Just wondering. Thank you for showing us pictures.
Hi Lynn, I haven’t decided how I’ll use the side cubby. It wouldn’t be possible to have it on the front. I like it on the side, though, because it keeps the front looking uncluttered.
Sue your desk looks like a perfect addition to your stamping space. So glad that you did not have to wait until Christmas to get it 🙂
Thank you, Ginger! I wish I hadn’t put it off as long as I did. It really is perfect!
Love it! Pretty, functional, and easy on your back. I wish I had the space to add one in my craft room
Thanks, Cathy! I understand, and I’m very grateful for my space.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful new desk. Yes, that is the reason I put off buying
things like that the phrase “some assembly required” stops me cold. Maybe some day, I’ll be braver.
Glad you like it, Mary, thank you! You definitely need a helper!
Congratulations on your new counter desk-table, nothing like the right equipment to get the job done in a comfortable fashion. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful projects with us. Happy stamping.
Thank you, Betty! I appreciate your nice comment!
