I’m sure I’m not the only one, but this week’s fun CAS(E) this sketch #228 challenge brought to mind a Swirly Scribble. It happened to fit perfectly, angled on the card like the sketch. I used Thick Whisper White for the card base and the Swirly shape, doubling the die cut for dimension.
My vision was for three bright daisies to wind their way up the curve. The brightness would come from Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper with three different patterns. The Daisy Punch would make my flowers, and the 1/2″ punch for the centers of the flowers. It turned out that two daisies was a better fit for the dimensions of the card, and just right after popping them up on dimensionals. I found “celebrate” in the Weather Together stamp set, and stamped it with Pacific Point ink. I used a retired label punch, because I wanted the sentiment to mimic the shape of the flower petals.
This was such a fun sketch! I think I hear fireworks going off! Happy July 4th everyone!
