May we all have “epic” celebrations! Young people have a way of expanding vocabulary by adding informal meaning to words, keeping our speech lively and fun. Amazingly enough, Stampin’ Up keeps up with the trends, and added the Epic Celebrations stamp set to our Sale-A-Bration selection. I wanted to design a birthday card using a sentiment in the set, “Here’s to an EPIC Celebration.”

Hey, Here’s to an EPIC Celebration
I embossed the Whisper White card base with the Hexagons embossing folder, adding to the contemporary feel.
Prior to embossing the card base, I stamped the “burst” from the Amazing You stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I used the same ink to stamp “Here’s to an EPIC Celebration,” and a Stitched Shape Circle die for cutting. I popped the circle up on dimensionals, and the front of my card was complete.
I like how the reverse side of the embossing folder decorates the inside of the card. “Happy Birthday” is from the Birthday Wit stamp set, and stamped in Pacific Point Ink.
I decorated the envelope flap with a coordinating piece of Birthday Memories DSP.
The layout of today’s birthday card was inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch.
I’ll stick with saying “hi” most of the time, but an occasional “hey” will be good for my youthful soul.
Thank you for visiting me today. Here’s to youth!
I love the striped letters! Great take on the sketch!
Thanks Leigh! The bright stripes is one of my favorite sheets of DSP!
I love this card! It is epic!
Thanks, Susan! I’m so glad you think it’s EPIC!
Su,
I just love your blog posts. You get me interested in things I never considered before. And your cards are amazing! I don’t know of my cards have been inspired by your post, but it is a lot. Some cards are not recognizable from your post but that is creativity.
Hoping you continue what you do so magnificently!
Bonnie
That’s such a nice compliment, Bonnie! Being inspirational is what I desire most, and your kind words mean so much to me. I’m enjoying this creativity, and can’t imagine stopping. I hope you continue also.
