This Expressions In Ink Designer Paper is gorgeous on its own. But, I wanted to add some dimension and detail to it, because that’s what we do, right?

First, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to give the pretty paper a fancy border. Then, I glued this to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Second, I stamped “you’re absolutely amazing” in Old Olive Ink, on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and used the smallest Scalloped Contours Die for cutting. The sentiment is from the Color and Contour Stamp Set. You can buy the stamp set and dies together, in a bundle, for a 10% savings.

I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals, and could have stopped here for a “quick & easy” card. But, I envisioned a flower with dimension, to make it extra special.

Third, I used Expressions In Ink Designer Paper to cut the Pale Papaya portion of the flower, and the Pear Pizzazz leaves, with Artistic Dies. Can you see how I snipped a couple leaves from the large die-cut? 

Another large, Artistic Die was used to cut from Thick, Basic White Cardstock, and I snipped the flower to glue on top of the solid Pale Papaya portion. 

Prior to gluing the two together, I used a third Artistic Die to cut a small piece of Gold Foil to place beneath the holes at the flower’s center. Finally, I glued the leaves to the back of the flower, and attached it with Dimensionals to my card front.
