Are you ready to see a Fall, masculine, birthday card?

Fall Birthday Colors
I was inspired by the color challenge at TGIF.
I’m also sharing with the “foliage” challenge at Seize the Birthday.
Crumb Cake is my favorite neutral color, and always a good choice for a masculine card. So, Crumb Cake would be my card base, layered with Cajun Craze, and Merry Merlot (Joyous Noel Designer Series paper) on top.
Before gluing the layers together, I used the Subtle Textured embossing folder on the Merry Merlot DSP to turn it magically into fabric. Then, I wrapped it with Gold Metallic Thread, which I taped to the back.

The word “Happy” is in the Merry Christmas die set, and I happily cut the word from Copper Foil. The die set didn’t, however, have the word “birthday.” After searching a bit, I ended up using “Happy Birthday” from the Lemon Zest stamp set. I used Copper Powder for heat embossing the two words on Merry Merlot cardstock, cut it with a Merry Christmas label die, and then gave it the Subtle Texture treatment.

The two sprigs, one in Cajun Craze, and one in Merry Merlot, are from the In the Woods die set.

Thank you for reading through my blog today. I hope you were inspired by my “Happy Happy Birthday” card. Keep scrolling to see my Product List.

Love your card Su! The colors and leaves are perfect for a masculine card. I particularly love the touch of gold metallic thread. Thanks for playing with TGIF Challenges this week.
Sue, I think your cards are absolutely stunning and so artfully done. I am a big follower and a fan of yours. I often CASE your cards so I can share them with the stampers who come to my monthly buffet. Sometimes it’s difficult to make changes because your designs are so PERFECT and fit my personal preferences well. Thank you for your thoughtful recipes for each card and your blog dialog…I enjoy your spirit and the way you refer to stamps like the Spirited Snowmen!
Keep Stampin’ and sharing because it keeps this “grandma Moses” inspired and excited to try new ideas! This is another LOVELY card!
Sandi,
Your words make me so happy! I’m so glad you are a follower of mine, and like to CASE my cards. This is such a nice compliment. I will continue Stampin’ and sharing, as long as nice people like you encourage me. Thank you so much!
