I am thrilled to announce that I’ve been asked to join the Global Design Project’s Design Team! I’ve been participating in their challenges for three years, and have received tremendous inspiration from the designers.
The challenges begin every Monday morning, and I hope to see you join in the fun! Isn’t this week’s sketch inspiring? Clicking on this sketch will take you to the site where you can see the other designer’s samples, and then, you can enter your project in the gallery.
For my first project as a designer, I wanted to give you a “sneak peek” of the new Birds & Branches Bundle. If you like birds on cards, you are going to love this bundle. You can order (June 3rd) the stamps and dies separately, but I recommend the bundle, because you’ll save 10%. You can see both options in my Product List below.
I used this die to cut from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and snipped some branches, so more of the pretty Forever Greenery DSP would show through the circle.

Bird’s little hello
The circle die is amazing! I cut the circle from the middle of 5 1/4″ X 4″ Whisper White Cardstock, and then embossed it with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.
Next, I cut the Forever Greenery DSP a spec smaller, and glued the two together. This was glued to a Soft Sea Foam card base.
I stamped my bird with two stamps, one on top of the other, in Pretty Peacock Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink, and used the Birds & More Die for cutting. Before placing him on his perch, I stamped his feet in Early Espresso Ink on the Forever Greenery DSP.
“A little hello” is from the Itty Bitty greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green Ink, and cut with the Classic Label Punch.
Thanks so much for stopping by. My birthday is in May, so I’m especially happy to have you celebrating with me!
Read about my May gifts!
First of all, this month’s Host Code gift is something I know you’ll want in your collection. It’s the new, fabulous, Ornate Floral Embossing Folder! I’ve already used it on a number of my cards, and it adds gorgeous texture. Just add my Host Code (DGMYPXET) in the box provided when you order a minimum of $50.00 in the month of May, and I will send the embossing folder to you in June.
Secondly, I’m having a drawing for two items: the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set AND the Small Bloom Punch. Your name will be entered in the drawing when you place a minimum $100.00 order in May.
This is Stampin’ Up’s list of retiring items, so click here, then click on “Last-Chance Products” in my store. Order those bundles now while you get the 10% savings, and earn the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder from me, plus a chance to win the Small Bloom Punch and Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set.
Last, but not least, if you are a customer of mine, you will be receiving the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, with ordering beginning June 3rd. The catalog happens to have a brand new stamp set (page 48) that coordinates with the Small Bloom Punch!
