The Changing Leaves Bundle, with its Hybrid Embossing Folder is amazing! You can’t miss the leaves on today’s card, cut from Gold Mercury Vellum. They were cut from the specialty paper, and embossed at the same time, while rolling through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Stampin’ Up! has made several of these “hybrid” sets, and they are so much fun to use.
For the background, I chose Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper in Fall colors, 3 7/8″ X 5 3/8″. This was glued to a Wild Wheat card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I used a Deckled Circles Die to cut a circle, 3 1/4″. After backing the circle with cardstock for thickness, I raised it over the “hole” on Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped the sentiment in Copper Clay Ink on Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. Then, I used a Deckled Circles Die for cutting, added a layer for thickness, and attached it with Dimensionals. “Thank you” is one of the sentiments in the Changing Leaves Stamp Set. You can get a close-up look at the bundle by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
After gluing the leaves in place, I added some Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins for additional sparkle. You can really see the embossing in this photo. Isn’t it great?

Just love this beautiful card. I was after some inspiration for an 85th birthday card for my brother-in-law. I found this and I thought it would be perfect for the occasion. Just finished making it and I’m very happy with the result. Thank you so much for sharing. (Love your ideas…)
