Hattie the Hamster is from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set, and wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. She wasn’t shy about telling me how she wanted her card, but first I had to stamp her in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, so I could cut her free with her Fluffiest Friends Die. After cutting, she said that she wanted to have Crumb Cake fur, which would be easy with Stampin’ Blends.

Hattie the Hamster
Did you notice Hattie’s pretty balloon? She said I must color it with a Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend, because it’s her favorite color, and very close to Pantone’s color of the year, Peach Fuzz.

Next, Hattie chose her background from Meandering Meadows Designer Paper; a beautiful sky with Petal Pink clouds. She didn’t realize her balloon was filled with helium, and would lift her off the ground, but she seems happy about it.
The sky was cut with a Garden Meadow Die, and glued to a Balmy Blue card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I used the die a second time to cut the wood grain, One Horse Open Sleigh DSP, 4″ X 5 1/4″, to make a border for the sky.

“Cheers to you and the New Year” is from the Throughout The Year Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.
Hattie’s final request was for a little sparkle, and she thought the Iridescent Rhinestones would be perfect. I agree!
