The ginkgo leaves are from the Beautifully Braided Stamp Set, and a late addition to my collection, but one I wish I’d had months ago! It’s a “Last-Chance” item, so order yours now while it’s still available. There’s a link at the bottom of this post that will take you to the entire list of “Last-Chance” items.

Embossed Ginkgo Leaves
The ginkgo leaves would be fabulous in any color, but I wanted to use the heat embossing technique, and keep it understated, for today’s wedding card.
I placed the ginkgo stamp on the Stamparatus and gave it a good coating of VersaMark, stamping on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.
TIP: I coated the stamp a second time to make sure I got good coverage. The Stamparatus enabled me to stamp this a second time in the exact same spot.
Next, I sprinkled the image with White Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.
Coloring was so much fun, because the raised lines keep the ink from the Stampin’ Blends contained. I used Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, and Soft Suede Ink for the buds.
I stamped the sentiment in the same, Soft Suede Ink, and used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.
TIP: This photo will show you how I was able to make the die-cut narrower, by using a second die.
Before adhering my art piece to the Crumb Cake card base, I tied Linen Thread around, and gave it a little knot.
I was inspired by Global Design Project to create a wedding card.
