This month, the theme is Winter Wonderland. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Move over poinsettia; make room for the hibiscus! The hibiscus is flourishing in San Diego for the holidays, and this beautiful photo was my inspiration.
I began by stamping the Happy Hibiscus flower in Poppy Parade Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After cutting with its Happy Hibiscus Die, I used three Stamping Blends to complete the coloring: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Daffodil Delight.

Holidays Hibiscus
Next, I colored Basic White Cardstock with Garden Green Ink and a Small Blending Brush. Then, I used a Happy Hibiscus Die to cut six leaves to surround the flower. Four were glued flat on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and two were raised on Dimensionals with the flower.
The branch was cut with a Thoughtful Wishes Die from Crumb Cake Cardstock, and the layer was glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” is from the Greetings Of The Season Stamp Set.
There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be Sale-A-Bration Inspiration.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Love this hibiscus card, Su — we are from northern MN, but are heading to Mexico over Christmas, and this reminds me of being in Cancun. Lovely!
Thanks, Mary! They are beautiful in Hawaii also!
Such a great card Su! I’ve got a soft spot for Poinsettias (my birthday month flower). However, I LOVE a good Amaryllis. Beautiful card!
