When you address your Christmas cards, there are special friends you haven’t seen for a while. You want to say, “let’s get together soon,” and this card is meant for them.

Holiday Hearts
I began with holiday plaids from the 6X6 Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper. Then, I used a Puzzle Pieces Die to cut the two hearts into four pieces each. I layered the eight pieces for sturdiness, and placed them on Dimensionals.
When later attaching them to the background, I gave the pieces slight separation, so the jigsaw would be more obvious.
The background is Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Stylish Scroll Folder, layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.
The sentiment, “May this special season be wrapped in love & joy,” is from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. It is on a Whisper White label die from the Ornate Frames Die Set. The fancy frame surrounding it, in Shaded Spruce Cardstock, is also an Ornate Frames Die.
Completing the sentiment is “let’s get together soon,” from the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set, which I cut with the Classic Label Punch. And, this ties the whole card “together.”
Thinking of special friends, I wanted to share a friend’s card with you. I love how she stamped the tree from the Winter Woods stamp set, gradually making it lighter. And, the added touch of gold and bling to complete the scene. I’m very proud of this lady, and it gives me much pleasure to see the joy that stamping brings to her life.

Hi Sue another nice card! Hey I have a question…we donate hundreds of cards & need to make loads of cards that are simple but still beautiful (which is why we love Stampin up). We do a lot of cards with dsp and labels, adding ribbon & bling (trying to keep it simple). What do you think of those ornate frames? I see that you use them a lot…do they cut good? We make so many cards that we can’t take time poking the the pieces out of the holes….just wondering because that set of dies seems to have a nice variety of labels. For a lot of our cards the outside greeting needs to be You Are Loved or You are Cherished or You Are Wonderful which seems like it would fit in those frames. I also really like that card with the Christmas tree as that is so simple but so nice so I will be showing that “formula” to my sister-in-laws who do this with me. Thanks again…as always I love your blog!
Hi Pat,
I’m sure the cards you and your family make are much appreciated! Do you use a die brush for removing the cut pieces? It simplifies things for me. Four of the 11 Ornate Frames have the small pieces, and I think it’s a good choice for your needs. The new stamp set, page 31, Perfectly Framed, coordinates with it!
Have a lovely day,
Su

I hope Jeanne sees that you love her card! Thank you, Sherlie!
