Everyone needs poinsettias for the holidays. Right? I made a similar card last year, but used some new ingredients for today’s poinsettia card.
Christmas Poinsettia
I began with the same leaf from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamping in Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, and Shaded Spruce Inks.
Then I used its Nature’s Roots Die for cutting the six bracts and three leaves.
Next, I distressed the leaves by embossing them with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, wetting them with my Aqua Painter, and crimping with my stylus.
Before assembling the poinsettia, I prepared the Thick Whisper White card base, attaching a 4 1/4″ X 2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock embossed with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.
Then, I placed the leaves on Dimensionals, arranging them in a circle.
The center was made with Iridescent Sequins.
“Happy Christmas” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.
