Look at this inspiring photo from the Paper Players challenge!
Immediately, I thought of our Christmas Pines Stamp Set. I used the Pretty Pines Dies for a project that I posted earlier this week. Here it is, in case you missed it:
I wanted to use the two, pine bough stamps, rather than the dies for this project. I stamped them in Garden Green, Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide on Thick Whisper White. You can see how I placed them around the edge to meet in the middle. This would be my background for the word “JOY.”

I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoyed the Large Letters Dies, and they were begging to be used again!
I placed the dies on my pine background, and made a pencil mark for each letter, so they would line up properly. After die cutting the three letters, I die cut three more sets in Thick Whisper White for layering. After gluing the background to A Tranquil Tide card base, I glued my triple layered “JOY” in place, slightly off-set, so it would be more visible.

I wanted to add a touch of color without detracting from my focal point, so I hung teeny tiny ornaments on the pine boughs. I used a hand-held punch to cut the red, foil ornaments. Can you see them?
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoyed my Christmas Pines!

A fun technique indeed Sue, I made an eclipse card using them this week too – those letters are a big favourite of mine, an investment purchase but so worth it! Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!
Hi Joanne! Yes, I’m loving the letters. They’re an investment, but something to use over and over, so worth it!
Su, this is so pretty! I love this technique and need to give it a try. The sentiment is so bold and fabulous! So happy you joined us at The Paper Players this week! XX
Thank you, Claire! Yes, you should give it a try!
So pretty! This technique is so fun, wish I had those letter dies myself! Thanks so much for sharing this with my Paper Players Holiday Pines challenge this week!
You are welcome, LeAnne! The Paper Players challenge is so much fun! I think you should ask Santa Claus for the Large Letters!
