Leaves of Gold

I began with a Thick Very Vanilla card base, topped with a layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock.

The tree trunks are from the Winter Woods stamp set, which I stamped in VersaMark, sprinkled with Gold Powder, and set with the Heat Tool.

The solid leaf is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set, stamped in VersaMark on Very Vanilla Cardstock, sprinkled with Gold Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. I used a leaf die from the coordinating set, Seasonal Layers, for cutting.

The same die set provided the die to cut the “open” leaves from Very Vanilla Cardstock and Gold Foil.

“Thanks” is from the Well Written die set, cut from Gold Foil. This card seemed to call for some Gold Metallic Thread.

TIP: I wound it around three fingers, then holding the ends, I attached it to the back of the solid leaf with a dimensional. After adding a few more Dimensionals, I placed the leaf in the middle.

I was inspired by the TGIF challenge.

Heat embossing is fun. I never tire of watching the dull powder begin to shine as it dries. I hope you are inspired to use this technique.

Now, I’m going to order the Day of Thanks stamp set in the new 2019 Holiday Catalog, so I can stamp “Happy Thanksgiving” on the inside. It’s #150574 on page 49.

Thanks for stopping by!
