Only five days until Valentine’s Day, and “love is in the air.” How about a Heart Pocket Bouquet? That’s what I named today’s creation.
Heart Pocket Bouquet
This card began as an experiment, because I wasn’t sure it would work. I used a Be Mine Stitched Die to cut the heart from Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder. Then, I used my fingers for shaping, so it’s open at the top. The scalloped trim cuts at the same time as the heart, which is glued flat. The heart is only glued at the bottom, and is holding securely.
The green foliage was made by Sponge Daubing Pear Pizzazz Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, cut with Poppy Moments Dies.
The small flowers are from Lily Impressions Designer Paper, cut with a Special Day die.
The background for the heart is Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, on a Thick Whisper White card base.
The strip was made with a Tropical Chic stamp, stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and trimmed to 4″ X 3/4″.
Since this is a valentine, I found “Happy Valentine’s Day” in the Meant To Be Stamp Set, I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, and used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting.
