Welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s Top Ten Winner’s Blog Hop. The theme for this month’s Blog Hop is “love.” Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

First of all, I want to thank everyone who voted for my November entry. Remember my Love Birds? I feel honored to be able to participate in this Blog Hop. You made it happen!

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci’s November Highlights Love Birds

For December’s project, I wanted to use hearts. Specifically, hearts from the Sure Do Love You Bundle in the new Occasions 2018 catalog, page 19. I’ve been anxious to try making the Love Box, and was ready to get started.

This is the finished product, and I really like the texture on the stamps in this set, giving them a rustic look:

Sure Do Love You Box

The box was much easier to make than I anticipated. I used one sheet of 8 1/2 X 11 Thick Very Vanilla, and cut two pieces for the box with the Lots To Love Die. The die did all the work of measuring, cutting and scoring. I just needed two strips of Tear Tape to fasten it together. The two flaps fold in to make a perfect, little box, 4 7/8″ X 3″ X 5/8″.

I began decorating the top of the box with my husband in mind. He likes the neutral shade of Crumb Cake, so I cut a piece to fit the top of the box.

The leafy, heart border is so pretty, and I stamped it in Always Artichoke on an angle.

Next, I stamped the two hearts in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock, and cut them with the Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies.

But the fun didn’t stop there! I stamped the little leaf in Always Artichoke on Crumb Cake cardstock, and the “Sure Do Love You” banner in Sahara Sand on Very Vanilla cardstock, and used the same die set for cutting.

I popped up the hearts and banner on dimensionals, and I think my husband will really like it! I’m sure he knows I love him, but who doesn’t like an extra, little something? I haven’t decided what I’ll place inside.

You probably noticed the shadows on my pictures. It is such a beautiful, sunny day, I didn’t want to close the blinds. So, I’m sending some heartfelt warmth to you!
