Here I am, in New York City. The Renaissance Hotel is great! We were excited to get a room with a view. Seriously, all of those buildings with windows are fascinating.

The flight here was trouble-free on Delta. We had TSA pre-check, a good complimentary meal, and movies. I really enjoyed Poms, and recommend it.

By the time we checked in, it was time for an early dinner before seeing a play. We walked, of course, as everyone does in New York. No problem getting my 10,000 steps a day here! We found this picturesque place across the street from the theatre, Heartland Chop House Brewery.

Then, it was 8:00 show time for Beautiful.

Love those Carole King tunes.

We awakened to a beautiful, sunny day, in the 70s. The weather couldn’t be better in New York. The main reason we are here is to attend the US Open Tennis Tournament.

Neil is very good with directions, and navigating the subway system, so here I am, eating a breakfast bar on the subway, headed to the US Open in Flushing Meadows. It looks like I’m alone, but it soon filled with people. Ha Ha

We caught up with the Klahns, and watched Bradley Klahn practice with Medvedev. His first round match will be tomorrow, and we’ll be there.

We walked through Bryant Park on the way back to our hotel, and had to take a selfie. Do you see the Empire State Building between us? Neil and I met on an airplane while flying to New York in 1982, and we went to the top of that building on our first date. Yes, Sleepless in Seattle is one of my favorite movies.

I’ll post another  card on Tues. I’m not crafting while on vacation, but I prepared ahead of time. I do have my Holiday Catalog with me, though, planning my September order.

Thanks for visiting my blog, even without a card!

The great thing about my on-line store is that it is open, and fully functional, while I’m on vacation! Clicking my “shop button will take you there.
