Daffodils for Stampin’ Fancy Friday Sketch Challenge

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month it’s a sketch challenge.

I began with two, Easter Basket Dies, to cut three, adorable, daffodils. The stems and leaves were cut from Granny Apple Green Cardstock, and the flowers were cut from Darling Duckling Cardstock and Crushed Curry Cardstock. After gluing them together, I glued the daffodils to Basic White Cardstock, 1 1/2″ squares, cut with a Stylish Shapes die.

Three Daffodils

For the background, I cut two strips of Basic White Cardstock, 1″ X 5 1/2″. After embossing the strips with the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder, and trimming the strips to fit Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, I glued them in place. This layer was glued to a Lemon Lime Twist card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Hello Spring” is from the Easter Basket Stamp Set. I stamped it in Granny Apple Green Ink, used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final touch for the sketch, I added three, Pearls Of Beauty.
