I’m especially fond of the Perennial Postage Dies, because I used to collect postage stamps. When you think about it; it’s funny that I was a postage stamp collector, and now I collect Stampin’ Up! stamps!

On to today’s card, where I used a Perennial Postage Die to cut three squares of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper. This paper is GORGEOUS, and you’re only seeing snippets of it here. If you click on the picture in my Product List, you can see all of the designs.

Perennial Postage

After layering the squares for thickness, I prepared the background. First, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4 7/8″ X 3 5/8″, and gave the bottom half texture with a Stripes & Splatters Embossing Folder. This was glued to Crumb Cake Cardstock, 5″ X 3 3/4″, which was glued to a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2, folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing, I attached two strands of Linen Thread around the layers with Mini Glue Dots, and tied a knot on the front.

“A little love from me to you” is from the Sending Love Stamp Set. I stamped it in Gorgeous Grape Ink, used a Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

The small butterfly was cut from Perennial Lavender DSP with a Painted Lavender Die. Isn’t it cute?

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
