Have you wondered how to make a slimline card? Today’s card is surprisingly easy; just follow along for instructions.
First, cut three frames from Basic White Cardstock, using the Ornate Frames Die in the picture.

Slimline Pinecones
Second, cut pinecones from the Painted Christmas Designer Paper, using the Ornate Frames Die that fits over the “fancy” white frame. Then, attach the pinecones to the frames with Dimensionals.
Third, it’s time to make the slimline card base. From an 8 1/2″ X 11″ piece of Soft Succulent Cardstock, cut 7″ X 7″, and fold at 3 1/2″.

The card front is layered with a pattern of Harvest Meadow Designer Paper, 3 1/4″ X 6 3/4″. Next, glue the three, framed, pinecones to the card front.
I wanted to keep the sentiment subdued, and have it blend in with the script, so I stamped it on the designer paper, and added a layer of cardstock for thickness.
The sentiment, “this wondrous season,” is from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink, cut with a Beautiful Trees Die, and glued in place.
Slimlines can be made in other dimensions, but that’s what I used for today’s design, and I’ll use a standard, legal envelope for mailing.
