Today’s card features the new, 2019-2020 Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.

Three Blooms
What do you do with a brand new pack of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper? I used to look at it for days, but now I cut into it, and start creating. Let’s just say, I’m no longer shy about cutting it to pieces. There will be more, and I’ve discovered I’d rather use it than save it.
Now that Stampin’ Up! sometimes offers coordinating dies and punches for images in the DSP, I don’t always make straight cuts. This is how I cut the three magnolias on today’s card. If you cut straight lines, you might snip off part of a flower. Right? I placed the Magnolia Memory die, so you can see how it cuts out the flower perfectly.

The beautiful, Petal Pink, striped background, is another selection in the Magnolia Lane DSP pack.

Not to be overlooked is the middle section of lace, which I made with Whisper White cardstock and the Stitched Lace die. You can see most of the tiny cut-outs on the foam pad, which I scraped into my trash container for easy clean-up. I did have to do some individual poking. It has come out cleaner, previously, so it probably has to do with the amount of pressure.

The sentiment, “thanks,” is from the Well Written die set, which I cut from Basic Black cardstock.

My inspiration for today’s card was from Freshly Made Sketches.
After gluing everything together, I realized this is a “no ink” project. Sometimes it’s nice to let the Designer Paper do all the work.

Thanks for stopping by. Are you working on your “wish list” for June 4th? If you like flowers, it will be hard to pass up the Magnolia suite! Thank you for shopping at my store!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful art work…
How beautiful! That stitched lace die is just gorgeous — totally worth any extra work to poke out all the stubborn little pieces. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
Absolutely gorgeous to combine the lace with the magnolia flowers and the simple striped paper.
Bravo, Su!
Thank you, Cathy! I’m so glad you like it!
