Today’s card began with the sentiment, “So Grateful,” from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I used the “ink to stamp” technique to create the rainbow of colors. Follow along for my easy instructions.

Rainbow Grateful

The “ink to stamp” technique is fun to use, especially with the Stamparatus. I arranged the Stampin’ Write Markers in the order I wanted to color. After securing Whisper White Cardstock on the Stamparatus with a magnet, I positioned the Ornate Thanks stamp, and picked it up by the lid of the Stamparatus. I colored a couple letters of the stamp with each color, pressing the stamp to the paper as I went along. If you aren’t familiar with a Stamparatus, you can read more about it by clicking on its picture in my Product List.

I wanted the rainbow sentiment to stand out, so chose a neutral background. The card base is Sahara Sand (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), topped with Whisper White Cardstock that I cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. Before gluing to the card base, I embossed the layer with The Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.

For more texture, I used the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder on a piece of 3″ X 4″ Whisper White Cardstock. I distressed the edges before gluing it on an angle.

The circle beneath “So Grateful” was cut with a Painted Labels Die from Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Sahara Sand. The sentiment and circle were attached with Dimensionals.

The final touch was four little pearls. Can you see them?
