Meet Sparkles the bear, from the Count On Me Stamp Set. She is appropriately named, because she loves the fireworks that fill the sky on the 4th of July.
I stamped her in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored her with Stampin’ Blends in Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, and her heart is Real Red. Isn’t she adorable?

Sparkles
The first thing Sparkles chose for her card was the red and white striped paper, a Pattern Party Designer Paper. She said it looked like the American flag, and I agreed. To give it the detailed edge, I used the second largest Scalloped Contours Die for cutting.
For even more detail, I layered this on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die. Then, this was layered on a Night Of Navy card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Sparkles was excited to find the perfect sentiment in the Queen Anne’s Lace Stamp Set, “celebrating all the wonderful things about you.” She loves all her global friends, but she wanted to celebrate America today.
I stamped the sentiment in Night Of Navy Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and used the smallest Scalloped Contours Die for cutting. Before attaching the sentiment label with Dimensionals, I threaded red, Playful Pets Ribbon, through holes in the largest scalloped die-cut, with the short ends taped on the back. Then, I used a Glue Dot to attach the bow. It has the appearance of going all the way around, but saves ribbon this way.
Sparkles wanted to stand on top of the label, and is anxiously waiting for the fireworks shows to begin.
Sparkles wanted to join the Paper Players challenge.
