This week at Global Design project, we get to CASE Jay Soriano’s creative wedding card. I made a birthday card, featuring a bunny, but I think you’ll see some similarities. We’d love to see your CASE of Jay’s card, and remember to use #GDP488.

I began with a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with the same Country Lace Designer Paper that Jay used. The Basic Beige print is 3 1/4″ X 4 1/4″, and the Petal Pink print is 3/4″ X 4 1/4″. Instead of the car, my focal point is a bunny, cut from Storybook Moments Designer Paper with a Storybook Friends Die.

Birthday Bunny
I framed the bunny with Country Woods Designer Paper, cut with a Storybook Friends Die. After layering the frame with cardstock for thickness, it was ready to glue in place.

Prior to gluing the frame, I cut a branch from Country Lace Designer Paper with a Golden Greenery Die. Then, I backed it with cardstock for thickness, and glued the center of the branch in place, leaving the ends free for dimension.
Before attaching the bunny with Dimensionals, I stamped the vertical “Happy Birthday” in Crumb Cake Ink. Then, I gave the bunny some Swirl Dots, which could be eggs. This would have made a good Easter card, but I liked the vertical sentiment:)
