Textured Tree Ring, Botanical Expressions and Prayers

Cards that are white, plus one color, can be very interesting. Today’s design uses the color, Peaceful Pine, which seems perfect for a sympathy card. I began with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, using the Botanical Expressions Die to cut leaves down the center of the layer.

Next, I used the Textured Tree Ring Embossing Folder to emboss the left side of the layer.

Before gluing the layer to a Peaceful Pine card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I stamped the sentiment on the right side of the layer in Peaceful Pine Ink. “Keeping you in my thoughts, Holding you in my heart, Remembering you in my prayers” is from the Promises & Prayers Stamp Set. To complete the design, I added three Pearls Of Beauty.
