Flowers & Bricks

The colors are black, gray, orange and purple. Halloween first came to mind, but I decided to make a Thanksgiving card, because I send more of those.

I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, and embossed the right side with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder. Then, using a Sponge Dauber, I brushed across the bricks with Smoky Slate Ink.

My orange and purple flowers are from See A Silhouette Designer Paper. They were easy to fussy cut with my Paper Snips, because of the thick, white lines surrounding them.

I placed the orange flower’s straight edge against the bricks, and raised the purple flower on Dimensionals with the sentiment.

TIP: I glued the bottom of the purple flower to the sentiment, before placing the two on Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Country Home Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stitched Rectangle Die.

Thanks for stopping by. You should visit the Paper Players blogs. I bet you’ll get some good ideas!
