Today’s card was a especially fun, because it’s the first one I designed as a new Design Team member of The Sisterhood of Crafters. I’m honored that I was selected, and looking forward to participating as a designer in the Wednesday, bi-weekly challenges.
The theme for this two-week period is “newly acquired stash,” and I couldn’t wait to get started!
But, this was one of those days when I had a design in mind, and it turned out completely different.

Mouse’s “thank you”
I was thinking of a card featuring beautiful, Poppy Parade poppies from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. I managed to stamp one, before the mouse appeared from behind the Brick & Mortar embossed wall.
i have to take the blame, because I made the mouse from the Special Someone Stamp Set and Special Day Die Set, and set him aside. He was ready to jump on a card ASAP!
Mouse insisted on writing the sentiment with a large pen from the Crafting Forever Stamp Set. Therefore, I made the pen by stamping it in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, coloring with Stampin’ Blends, and fussy cutting.
Other than the ink splatters, the mouse did a good job of writing “thank you,” don’t you agree?
To hide the hole in the brick wall that led to Mouse’s home, we added a raised rectangle. I cut this with one of the new Stitched So Sweetly Dies, which worked perfectly.
CAS(E) this sketch was the inspiration for my design.
Thank you for stopping by. I know Mouse is happy to show off his Thank You card. Keep scrolling to see the new supplies in my Product List. Just click on the pictures to go shopping at my store. Thanks!
P.S. The Special Day Dies are available now for Demonstrators, and Feb 4 for customers. And, they will be carrying-over to the new Annual Catalog!

I didn’t think I needed the Painted Poppies stamp set, but I NEED that splatter stamp! Such a cute card, thanks for sharing it with us!
for some reason I never can get my comments to post so I have given up on trying but this card is so adorable, I had to try again. In case it goes through, I am assuming you stamped everything on the white before embossing??? and then used the stamparatus to get everything lined up on the small rectangle.
Thank you for your perseverance, Sherri! You shouldn’t have a problem commenting on my blog, but I understand. I have difficulty commenting also. You assumed correctly, but I didn’t need to use the Stamparatus.
Such a cute card, Su!! How did you create the ink splatter?
Thank you, Lynne! If you look at the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in my Product List, you’ll see the ink splatter! It’s so easy to do!
Absolutely love this!!!!! Thanks for the enabling and adorable inspiration.
Thank you, Angie! I’m happy to enable and inspire!
This must be among the Top Ten Cutest Cards Ever! Definitely a super bowl contender!
That’s a very nice compliment! Thank you, Leslie! Have a fun Super Bowl Sunday!

Love this card…..funny we have a mouse invasion in our pantry. Are die cuts 153587 for Special Someone..it says Special Days? I am going to order when I sign up.
Hi Liz,
Yes, the Special Days Dies coordinate with the Special Someone Stamp Set. We have mice outside our house. Good luck getting them out of your pantry! I really only like the paper kind.
OK great, I want this set in initial order. I think they are gone now, no mouse last nite! Hallelujah.
Talk to you soon. Liz
The mouse is available, but the dies aren’t available to customers until Feb 4.

Hello SU, this is such a sweet card. I was so interested in reading the fun story of your mouse and their creation adventure. I’m certain your mouse can make future surprise appearances.
How do you become a member of The Sisterhood of Craters?
Hi Lizzie,
It makes me happy that you enjoy my cards and stories! Thank you for telling me. I was invited to be on the Design Team for the Sisterhood of Crafters, but everyone can be a member by participating in the challenges. Just enter a card you create that fits the theme. I’d love to see you in the gallery!
This is gorgeous – I had completely overlooked that little mouse in that set but love what you’ve done with him – I like the way the poppy goes off the central part too and that embossing folder is something I need to check out.
Thank you, Fiona! I appreciate you noticing all the details. That little mouse is small, so easy to overlook, LOL. Everyone needs that Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder!
Su, not sure if my computer is acting up… you may get a comment from me twice…
Your storytelling is always so much fun to read! I adore this card. The splatter and poppy effect are fun. And, Mr. Mouse’s penmanship is better than most students these days. Welcome to the design team, Sistah! I am delighted that you are with us!
My computer does that too, Katy! But, it was fine, no duplication. I appreciate your nice comment, and I’m thrilled to be a Sistah!
Welcome to The Sisterhood Su I can’t wait to see all your amazing work for each challenge!! This is just the cutest card ever! If I received it in the mail I would be looking under the rectangle for the hole the mouse made LOL!! Love the splatters, love the design…a fabulous card ‘sistah’
