Today’s card began with the idea of framing one of the beautiful sentiments from the Hope & Peace Stamp Set. I stamped “Tidings of comfort and joy” in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the oval, Fabulous Frames Die for cutting, and a second time to cut a frame from Soft Succulent Cardstock. After layering both pieces for thickness, I attached Dimensionals on the back to hold the framed words together, as well as raise it on the card front.
Christmas Music
The card base is Evening Evergreen Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Prior to gluing the white layer, I embossed it with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is especially appropriate, because we’ve been told it’s the music to “Joy to the World.”
The pretty red and green print is Painted Christmas Designer Paper, 2″ X 4 1/2″, layered on Evening Evergreen cut 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border. For a bit of detail, I added a Real Red Cardstock bow, cut with a Decorated Pine Die, and an Iridescent Pearl to complete it.

Such a pretty card! Those frame dies are real sleepers….it’s good to see them close-up and in use because they really don’t get much of a highlight in the catalog. I just love the detail on the oval! A beautiful Christmas card for sure. Thanks for playing with my sketch this week at the Players!
