You only have two more days until August 4th, when you get to order from the new, August-December 2020 Mini Catalog! The Love Of Leaves Bundle and Plaid Tidings Designer Paper were at the top of my list, and as a Demonstrator, I was able to pre-order them last month.
I’m not bragging, because anyone can be a Demonstrator; you just need to join Stampin’ Up! You can click on my “join” button below, and become a member of my Dream Makers Team. We’d love to have you!
I must warn you that the Plaid Tidings Designer Paper has been extremely popular, so order first thing, before it goes on backorder. Remember the popularity of Madras in the sixties? Oh, how I loved it! This paper makes my heart skip a beat!

The plaid works beautifully as leaves, at least, I think so, especially when surrounded by stitching. And, they fit perfectly on this slimline card. You can follow my instructions to see how I made it, and my supplies are in the Product List below.

Leaves in plaid
Instructions
To make this slimline card, cut Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 7″ X 8 1/2″, and fold at 3 1/2″ for your card base. This size fits nicely in a standard 9 1/2″ X 4″ envelope.
Cut a Whisper White Cardstock layer, 3 1/4″ X 8 1/4″. Place the three leaf dies on the layer, and run it through the die-cutting machine.

Stamp “Hope Changes Everything” in Early Espresso Ink, and glue the layer to the card base.

Use the same leaf dies to cut from three patterns of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper.
Glue the leaves in the holes. You’ll see this referred to as the “inlay technique.” Clean & simple, right?

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
