I think it’s safe to say, this is an Autumn card, since Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper provided the acorns. But, is it a corny thank you card?

I hope my husband likes it, because he was needing some masculine thank you cards, and I made it with this purpose in mind. I started with his favorite, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, and a Very Vanilla card base.
I needed inspiration for the lay-out, and Fab Friday happened to have what I thought could be a winner.
I used one of the Layering Oval Dies for the oval window, and a slightly larger, scalloped one for the frame. I like how the acorns are flying around in there.
The leaf was cut with a Seasonal Layers die, adding just a touch of vibrant color. Do you recognize the Designer Series Paper? (hint: Painted Autumn.)
The “Thank You” is stamped from the Banners For You stamp set, and cut with a die from Bunch of Banners. This is a die set I’ve found to come in very handy, and it coordinates with several stamp sets.

Thank you Fab Friday for the sketch inspiration. I think my husband will approve.

Great card; corny or not! LOL! I love how you back the oval cut out with the acorn paper. I’ve been trying to decide how to use this pattern myself and this is a great idea! Great job on the masculine feel! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
Love your recognition of my corny card! LOL Thanks so much for your comments, Amanda!
