I fell in love with TGIF’s inspirational photo, so I had to CASE (copy and selectively edit) it.
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, which I embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.
Next, I cut a square of Basic White Cardstock, 3″ X 3″, and stamped the sentiment in Stazon Black Ink. “Happy Birthday” is from the Artistically Ink Stamp Set, and “sending you this paper hug” is from Through It Together. Then, I cut a square of Basic Black Cardstock 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border.

Birthday Hugs
The corner, focal point, was stamped with the Artistically Inked stamps and cut with coordinating Artistic Dies. I stamped the larger flower in Polished Pink, the smaller flower in Daffodil Delight, and the leaves in Gray Granite. The purple was cut with a Dainty Delight Die from Highland Heather Cardstock.
After gluing, and attaching the flowers, I added three Iridescent Pearls, and my CASE was complete.

I absolutely love your cards. They inspire me to create. I have two questions. Why did you use Stazon ink instead of Memento? How do you emboss on just the front of a card (how do you place the paper in the folder)?
Thank you, Sharon!
Sometimes, I use Stazon for sentiments, when I want it as dark as possible.
I place the front of the card base (not the back) inside the folder, running it through the machine sideways. This breaks the rule of running it through the machine fold first, but no damage, since I do it infrequently.
