This week’s Global Design Project is to case Krista Frattin. I chose the Butterfly Brilliance Collection for my design, along with some items from the Simple Succulents Bundle. Both are pictured in my Product List below.

Butterfly Kaleidoscope
After seeing Krista’s card, and those of the other designers, please join us by adding your card to our gallery. We would love to see you there!
I began by using two Brilliant Wings Dies to cut 12 butterflies from Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper; six large and six small. Then, I glued them to Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) in an alternating pattern to mimic Krista’s design.
I thought it would be fun to make the butterflies look like they were embedded in the paper, so I ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder. I like how it looks, do you?
Next, I glued my butterfly layer to a Seaside Spray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The Seaside Spray gingham strip was cut with an Ornate Layers Die. This pattern is from retired 6X6 In Color Designer Paper, but the newer patterns are still available. However, keep in mind, the 2019-2021 In Colors are retiring March 24th, and all of the products in these colors are only available while supplies last. This includes the five In Colors: Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Purple Posy, so order in March before they are gone forever.
I used a Potted Succulents Die to cut two, smaller, strips; one from Seaside Spray and one from Natural Touch Specialty Paper. The Natural Touch Specialty paper is the paper I also used for photography.

The sentiment, “thanks” is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, stamped in Seaside Spray, and cut with a Potted Succulents Die.
The pretty, white, butterfly was cut with a Brilliant Wings Die, and glued at its body, leaving its wings free.

Are you ready to see my March Host Code Gift?

TWO lucky winners will receive the Punch Party Host Stamp Set, with a qualifying order of $125.

I appreciate my customers; you are the best! You can click on my shop button, or the pictures in my Product List, to go to my store. Have fun filling your shopping cart!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a spectacular day!

I just discovered that the Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper has sold-out. It was a “while supplies last” item, so this is a lesson: if you love it, order it ASAP. It’s impossible for Stampin’ Up! to predict the demand for some items.
