The animal’s background is from another pattern of Happy Forest Friends Designer Paper, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die. After cutting the background, I glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I found the sentiment in A Grand Kid Stamp Set (low inventory), and stamped “To an extraordinary granddaughter” in Early Espresso Ink. This stamp set is $21.00, also a Last Chance product. Then, I used the smallest Scalloped Contours Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals, along with the animals. I think my granddaughter, Lily, will love it.

Welcome to this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge. See how our designers used the sketch, then join in the fun, and hang your creation in our gallery.
Several “Last Chance Products” were featured on today’s card. The Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set and Mango Melody Ink have sold out, but the Fabulous Frames Dies, and Floral Gallery Dies, are still available. Clicking on the pictures in my Product List will show you the sale price. And, if something is sold out, it will say “out with the old, in with the new.”
I began with a Daffodil Delight card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Fabulous Frames Die to cut a frame from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/2″ X 3 1/2″, to glue behind it.
Framed Watercolor Shapes
Prior to gluing, I used a square, Watercolor Shapes Stamp, to stamp nine squares in three colors, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, and Mango Melody. I eye-balled it, so they wouldn’t be perfectly spaced. Then, I raised the framed squares on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “birthday wishes,” is from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set. It was stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Floral Gallery Die, and attached with Dimensionals. The Sending Smiles Stamp Set and Sending Dies are carrying over to the new catalog.

“April showers bring May flowers,” and “APRIL” was created with Alphabet a La Mode Dies and Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper.
To give the letters dimension, I cut a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet the same size as the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper, adhered them together, placed the letter dies on top of the specialty paper, and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Then, I removed the letters, leaving the backing intact until I was ready to attach them to the card front. I used a ruler across the card front to keep the letters even.
April Showers
When I heard that Pretty Peacock was a returning color to Stampin’ Up’s! core colors, I was excited to use it. We were given a sneak peek of its return, because it appears in this Hello Irresistible Designer Paper, an “online exclusive,” that is available now.
The pattern I chose for today’s card looks like a cloudy sky (4″ X 5 1/4″), and I added rain with the Raindrops Embossing Folder. This embossing folder happens to be my gift for the month of April, with details below.
Next, I used Chic Dies to cut five flowers from another section of Hello Irresistible Designer Paper, and centers from the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper. Two flowers were glued flat, and three were attached with Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “You make each season of life even more beautiful,” is from the Season Of Chic Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink, used a Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I love geraniums! I created this card a while ago, but wanted to point out that the Geraniums Dies I used are now discounted 60%.
