Hello Irresistible Chic Flowers

Hello Irresistible Designer Paper has been a favorite from  “online exclusives,” and used to create the flowers on today’s card. The pastel colors are so pretty!

I began by cutting the flowers and leaves, using Chic Dies, a set carrying over to the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. Then, I glued the flowers together, and placed them on Dimensionals.

Chic Flowers

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and layered on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing the layer, I embossed it with a 3D Basics Embossing Folder. This is one of three embossing folders from “online exclusives,” temporarily unavailable, scheduled to return the week of May 1.

Next, I used two additional Chic Dies to cut Basic White flowers, and glued them in place.

“Thinking of you” is from the Season Of Chic Stamp Set, which coordinates with the Chic Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink, and used two cuts with Deckled Rectangles Dies to make it the right size. After attaching the label with Dimensionals, my “chic,” floral, card was complete.

I’m sharing with The Paper Players.

The Last Chance Products Sale began April 4th! There are two lists, which include all of the retiring products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Clicking the covers will take you to the lists.

The lists are extra long, because this is a “color refresh” year, so the fifteen retiring colors, and their associated products (ink pads, re-inkers, cardstock, Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Write Markers, ribbons, embellishments) are listed. I’ve pictured the retiring colors below. These products are usually the first to sell out, so order asap.

The discounted prices are on the right side, and will show when you order the item.

Additionally, I want to point out that there are bundles listed, but that doesn’t indicate the stamp set and dies are retiring. It means they will no longer be in a bundle with the 10% discount.

To make viewing easier, there is a plus mark at the top to enlarge the print. Also, I recommend having the catalogs in hand, because the lists are organized by page number.

You’ll Want These 60% Off Die Sets

Dainty Flowers for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Flowers in the Garden. We hope you are inspired by all the wonderful creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The Dainty Delights Die Set has the perfect, little, flower for a small wreath. Thinking the flowers would look pretty against a light color, I began with a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ folded at 4 1/4″. Sahara Sand is a retiring color, but the Dainty Delight stamp set and dies are carrying over to the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

By Su Mohr for the Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Dainty Delight Stamp Set, Dainty Delight Dies, Irresistible Blooms Dies, Fancy Flora DSP; #daintydelight #irresistibleblooms #fancyflora #flowersoncards #wreaths #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #cardtechniques #stampinup #stamping #sumohr

Dainty Flower Wreath

Next, I cut a hole in the middle of the card front with one of the Irresistible Dies. This “online exclusives” set has been out of stock, due to popularity, but is scheduled to return the week of 4/17. That’s next week, so make a note of it!

After cutting, I backed the “hole” with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The sentiment, “the best is yet to come,” is from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink.

The eight flowers were cut with a Dainty Delight Die from Fancy Flora Designer Paper (retiring), and backed with like-colored cardstock for thickness. The centers were cut from cardstock in three colors: Soft Suede (retiring),  Rich Razzleberry (retiring), and Calypso Coral (carrying-over). After cutting and assembling the flowers, they were attached with Mini Dimensionals.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team; The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 10th, when our theme will be a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where our Design Team will create projects, using elements/supplies that are three in a row, column, or diagonal from the tic tac toe board.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Sunflower Birthday Card for Global Design Project 389

Welcome to Global Design Project! This week we have a fun, color challenge: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and TahitianTide. A number of the products on today’s card are retiring. Please see the “Last Chance” information below.

The Sunflower Dies (on sale now) have been a favorite. This clever die enables you to make “quick & easy” cards with “wow” factor. The outline of the flower was cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and the paper beneath is Fancy Flora Designer Paper.

By Su Mohr for GDP 389; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, Fancy Flora DSP, Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, Gingham Ribbon, Pastel Sequins, Sunflower Dies; #sunflowerdies #fancyflora #peacefulmoments #watercolorshapes #pastelsequins #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #sumohr #gdp389

Sunflower Birthday

For the background, I used Thick Basic White for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Prior to gluing the layer, I used the round stamp from Watercolor Shapes with Tahitian Tide Ink to stamp across the center.

I also added Black & White Gingham Ribbon, which I cut in half, and taped to the back.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink. Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins were attached, as a final touch.

There has been much excitement at Stampin’ Up!  Demonstrators were able to view the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, which goes “live” to customers May 2. Something Fancy with Elegant Borders

When you start with Fancy Flora Designer Paper, and add the Something Fancy Bundle and Elegant Borders, you have a “quick & easy” card. All of my supplies are in my Product List below.

I began by selecting one of many beautiful patterns of Fancy Flora Designer Paper, and cutting it to 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I used one of the Elegant Borders Dies to cut the right side, giving it a wonderful, detailed edge. The Elegant Borders Dies are one of Stampin’ Up’s “online exclusives.”

After cutting, I glued the designer paper to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Fancy and Elegant

Next, I stamped the sentiment on Fancy Flora Designer Paper in Orchid Oasis Ink, and used a Something Fancy Die for cutting. “May the good you do come back to you” is from the Something Fancy Stamp Set, and fit perfectly within the die-cut. After cutting the sentiment, I used a Something Fancy Die, a size larger, to cut Thick Basic White Cardstock, and glued the two together. Then, I attached the sentiment to the center of the card front with Dimensionals.

The final step was embellishing with 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots, and my “quick & easy” card was complete.

Artistic Leaves of Glimmer Paper

Today’s card was created with current bundles that are carrying over to the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. This means, they can be ordered in a bundle now for a 10% savings, but will be sold as separate stamp and die sets in the new catalog.

Because this is a color refresh year, some colors are going away, some are returning from the past, and some are brand new. Fresh Freesia has been an In Color, but is returning as a core color, and the one I used for the card base. The Fresh Freesia Cardstock is 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Featuring: Artistic Dies, Fancy Flora DSP, Something Fancy Stamp Set, Glimmer Paper; #fancyflora #somethingfancy #artisticdies #thankyoucards #cardsketches #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #stamping #stampinup

Glimmer Leaves

Next, I cut Fancy Flora Designer Paper into four pieces: 1 1/2″ X 1 1/2″(top right) 1 1/2″ X 3 1/8″(bottom right) 1/1/2″ X 2 5/8″(top left) and 1 1/2″ X 2 1/4″ (bottom left), and glued them, evenly spaced, on the Basic White Cardstock.

The beautiful branch of leaves was cut with an Artistic Die from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper. This die is part of the Artistically Inked Bundle. You can see the entire bundle in my Product List below.

The sentiment, “thank you,” is from the Something Fancy Bundle, stamped in Orchid Oasis Ink.

For a bit more sparkle I added five Patel Adhesive Backed Sequins. Aren’t they pretty?

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
