Here comes Randy the Rhino, walking along an Elegant Border. If you haven’t looked at the “online exclusives” yet, you must! Just click on my “shop” button below.
Randy was easy to stamp in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with his Rhino Ready Die.
After cutting, Randy wanted to be colored with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends, and he said not to forget about coloring his bird friend in Daffodil Delight. Then, he asked that they be placed on Dimensionals.

Randy the Rhino
Next, I prepared the Gray Granite card base to match Randy in color, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This was layered with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″.
Randy told me there was a perfect, Elegant Borders Die for his background, and suggested I use Awash In Beauty Designer Paper for cutting. This would give him a beautiful, bright green place for walking.

Prior to gluing, I stamped the sentiment, “happy for you,” in Memento Black Ink. Randy found the sentiment in the Spring Blessings Stamp Set, and said it was easy to bend, because it was a Photopolymer Stamp.
To complete the scene, Randy said I needed to add some tropical leaves, using the dies in his Rhino Ready Die Set for cutting. I used the same Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, and to add some yellow, I used Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper. Both papers are retiring in April, so Randy said you need to order while they’re still available.

This week’s Global Design Project is all about Easter, a day I love to celebrate! Stampin’ Up’s stamp set, Rejoice In Him, has wonderful sentiments for the occasion.

He is Risen
I began with a background stamp, Rays Of Light, that I stamped in Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody on Basic White Cardstock. The Stamparatus enabled me to stamp the two colors, while holding the stamp and paper in place. While I was using the Stamparatus, I stamped “He is Risen” in Early Espresso Ink.
After stamping, I used the Largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting.

Next, I created the cross, using two Sending Dies to cut Soft Suede Cardstock. After doubling the “wood” for thickness, I gave it texture with the Timber Embossing Folder, glued the cross together, tied Linen Thread around the cross, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals.

For the base of the cross, I used a Palms Die to cut palm branches from Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, and glued them in place. The final touch was adding three Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

To complete the card, I stamped a sentiment from Rejoice In Him in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting, and glued it in place. I also added a palm branch, and decorated the envelope flap with Awash In Beauty Designer Paper.

It’s time to make Easter cards! Be inspired by our designer’s creations; then, create your own, and hang it in our gallery.

The Taco Fiesta Stamp Set is a fun, and unusual, stamp set for a variety of cards. It’s great for masculine cards, with some humor thrown in! Think about ordering it now, before it retires in April.
I began by stamping the images in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and fussy cutting with my Paper Snips.

Guacamole Birthday
After cutting, I colored the pinata and avocados with Stampin’ Blends in five colors: Gray Granite, Old Olive, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Tahitian Tide.

The background is Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″) cut with an Irresistible Blooms Die, glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to attaching the pinata and avacados, I stamped “Holy guacamole it’s your birthday!” in Memento Black Ink. Two of the avocados were glued flat, and one was placed on Dimensionals, along with a Bow of Linen Thread.

Are you ready to see more “online exclusives?” The Rhino Ready Stamp Set is adorable, and you’re going to love the Rhino Ready Dies! You can see all of the “online exclusives” by clicking on my “shop” button below.
I chose Rhonda, one of the rhinos, to stamp in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped the grass in Old Olive Ink, and cut both with Rhino Ready Dies.

Rhonda the Rhino
After cutting Rhonda free from the paper, she asked that I color her with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, and the blades of grass with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.

Rhonda said she would sit nicely by the grass, if I elevated her on a rectangle of Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Radiating Stitches Die. She knew about these dies, because they are “online exclusives,” like she is.
She thought I should also use the Radiating Stitches Dies to cut circles from four colors of cardstock scraps: Old Olive, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, and Soft Sea Foam. And, a larger circle could be cut from Basic White Cardstock, and used to hold her sentiment, “Hello Friend.”
To complete Rhonda’s card, I glued Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″ to an Old Olive card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I attached everything with Dimensionals, along with two leaves (glued flat), cut with Rhino Ready Dies from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Now, she’s waiting for you to embrace her!

Today’s card features more “online exclusives,” Elegant Borders Dies, and Basics 3D Embossing Folders. You can see the entire list of “online exclusives” by clicking on my “shop” button below.
I used one of the Elegant Borders Dies to cut Awash In Beauty Designer Paper in Mossy Meadow Green. I made two cuts, along the top and bottom of the designer paper, 5 1/2″ X 2 1/8″. Then, I glued this across the middle of a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Elegant Borders
Prior to gluing the Elegant Borders die-cut, I embossed the card front with one of the new, “online exclusives” Basics 3D Embossing Folders. This pack of three embossing folders has sold-out temporarily, but will return.
The beautiful, floral bouquet is from another pattern of Awash In Beauty Designer Paper. This paper has been a favorite, and will retire with the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. I can’t imagine it lasting long, so I suggest ordering now.
After fussy cutting the bouquet, I attached it to the card front with Dimensionals.

“Best wishes” is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, cut with a Potted Succulents Die, and attached with Dimensionals. That’s all there is to my “clean & simple” card.

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Welcome to this week’s Global Design Project, a fun, sketch challenge!

I began by stamping the “arm holding a bouquet,” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. This cute image, from the Warm Welcome Stamp Set, was cut with a Something Fancy Die. Then, I used Stampin’ Blends for coloring in five colors: Balmy Blue, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, and Mint Macaron.

Warm Thank You
Next, I used the same Something Fancy Die, and one a size larger, to create a stencil. I did this by positioning the two dies on Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), and rolling it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. Then, I placed my stencil on Basic White Cardstock( 4″ X 5 1/4″), and colored the “cut-outs” with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink.

Next, I embossed the bottom portion with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder, and glued the layer to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The ribbon across the middle is from the Real Red and Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack. Due to popularity, it was out of stock for a while, but I’m happy to say it’s available again! In order to raise it on Dimensionals, I attached it to Crumb Cake Cardstock (4″ X 1/2″) with Tear & Tape.

The sentiment, “thank you,” is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink, used its Sentiment Silhouettes Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
