The gnomes are coming July 1st, and this is also the beginning of Sale-a-bration! Today’s card combines the Kindest Gnomes Bundle with the FREE Sale-a-bration designer paper, Rings Of Love. He is very happy in this woodland environment.

Woodland Gnome
I stamped the gnome in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used his Gnomes Die for cutting. Then, I colored him with four Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Ivory, and Daffodil Delight. Did you notice his plaid hat? This was created with In Color 6X6 Designer Paper in Soft Succulent, using the “paper piecing” technique. I stamped the gnome on the DSP, cut his hat with Paper Snips, glued it in place, and trimmed the excess white border.
For his background, I cut a tree ring from the Rings Of Love DSP, and glued it to Basic White Cardstock , embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder. This white layer was cut 1/8″ smaller than the Soft Succulent Cardstock layer, 3 3/4″ X 5″. Both layers were glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“You gnome me so well” is from the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Harvest Die.
The leaf and mushrooms are also from the Rings Of Love Designer Paper, fussy cut, and placed on Dimensionals, along with the sentiment and the gnome.

I love combining products from different sets to come up with a card design, and today’s card has four designer papers from different sets. I began with the background, which is Rings Of Love, a FREE Sale-a-bration DSP beginning July 1.
After cutting a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece, I removed an inch from the middle, and glued the two pieces to a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Four Designer Papers
The remaining designer papers are in the current 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. I cut the focal point from Awash In Beauty DSP, using its Organic Beauty Die. It’s wonderful when Stampin’ Up! gives us dies that match the designer paper, isn’t it?
Next, I cut two sprigs, with another Organic Beauty Die, from Pretty Prints DSP in Evening Evergreen. And, I used one more Organic Beauty Die to cut flowers from Vellum Cardstock, glued the three pieces together, and placed on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “just because” was stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Stylish Shapes Die. I used the larger Stylish Shapes Die to cut from In Color 6″ X 6″ DSP, glued them together, cut a straight edge at the top, and attached it with Dimensionals.

The Splendid Stems Dies, in the Splendid Day Suite, are perfect for the “inlaid technique.” This plant would be pretty in any color combination. I used the die to cut the plant in six colors of cardstock: Old Olive, Mint Macaron, Granny Apple Green, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Succulent, and Thick Basic White Cardstock. It was so much fun filling the white “frame” with the colored cardstock!
Inlaid Splendid Stem
Prior to gluing, I prepared the background, layering Splendid Day Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″) on a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″).
After deciding where I would place the potted plant, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “Thanks” is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set.
The pot for the plant was created with Basic White Cardstock, cut with another Splendid Stems Die, and embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder.
How do you like the For Everything Fancy Sequins? I love the variety of shapes and sizes, and they come in three color groups. Click on the picture in my Product List for details. They were added with pin dots of Liquid Glue, the Take Your Pick tool, and a little patience.

Today’s card is a clean and simple, “one-layer” card. I began by stamping the adorable gnome, from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog, in Memento Black Ink. I stamped him directly on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used Stampin’ Blends for coloring: Orchid Oasis for his pants, Crumb Cake for his shirt and shoes, Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam for his hat and mittens, Ivory for his face, and Basic Black for his eyes.
To avoid going outside the lines in small spaces, I touch the tip of the brush end close to the line, and let it spread closer. You will get some bleeding through the card front, so do the coloring with the card base open.
“One-layer” Gnome
Next, using the Stamparatus for placement, I stamped the flowers from the Wonderful World Stamp Set in Orchid Oasis Ink, one of the new, 2022-2024 In Colors. This stamp set comes with Wonderful World Designer Paper, and I used one of the patterns to photograph my card. Not only is it fabulous, but it’s a FREE Sale-a-bration item with a $100.00 order!
I’ve been asked the name of this flower, so if you’re reading this, you’ll now find out it’s a German Cornflower. The partially hidden flower on the front of the stamp set is an English Rose, and the bottom flower is a French Iris. To give some ground to the scene, I stamped three patches of grass in Garden Green. This stamp is in the Easter Friends Stamp Set, still available in the Last Chance Products sale, but only until June 30th. You can click on the Last Chance button below to see all of the Last Chance Products.
At the bottom of the card, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “Your kindness does not go unnoticed” is from the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, showing the seasonal versatility of the set. Get ready to order July 1st!

For today’s card I used the Splendid Day Suite, which was my first purchase from the August-December 2022 Mini Catalog. It was made available extra early to Demonstrators, so we would have it in time for a special event that happened Saturday, June 18. The event was called Creativity Now, where Demonstrators spent several hours crafting together virtually with Stampin’ Up staff.
Prior to the event, I was playing with the gorgeous, new products, and came up with this design. I love the soft colors in the the Splendid Day Designer Paper, and the Splendid Stems Dies! I used Pool Party Cardstock, and Basic White Cardstock for cutting two of the “open” plants in the set.

Next, I used the half-circle Splendid Stems Die, and a Deckled Rectangles Die (2 1/4″ X 3 1/2″) to cut from three patterns of Splendid Day Designer Paper. I used two halves to make a complete circle, and you can see the paper shine in the last photo.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, given texture with the Stitched Greenery Die.
“Thank you” is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, stamped in Pool Party Ink, cut with its Sentiment Silhouettes Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
As a final touch, I added three Fine Sparkle Adhesive Gems. The gems were a gift to everyone who attended Creativity Now, a perk for being a Demonstrator. Fun, fun, fun!

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE Krista Frattin, and I love her anchor card. There happens to be a similar anchor in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, Hope & Prayer Stamp Set, which I’ve been waiting to use.
The first thing I did was stamp the anchor in Coastal Cabana Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, along with the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink. Then, I used the sixth largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting.
The two sweet birds were stamped in the same colors of ink, and I used my Paper Snips for cutting them by hand.
“Hope anchors the soul”
The background is Vellum Layering Designs, cut with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles Die, glued to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the same die, to prevent the color of the next layer showing through the vellum. The next layer is Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper in Coastal Cabana, cut with the third largest Deckled Rectangles Die.
I attached the top layer and Coastal Cabana layer with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to attaching everything, I scored three lines across the card front, using a Paper Trimmer. This added just enough detail, don’t you think?
When the birds took flight across my card, it was complete.
