I have to say, this is the first time I’ve used paper clips on a card. But TGIF’s challenge this week was to use paper clips, so I was game. It turns out, my husband really likes this card, so this is his Father’s Day card. The sentiment is perfect, don’t you think?

Paper Clipped Flowers

I happened to find some large, colored, paper clips that I would be able to clip onto the Hues Of Happiness Flowers. After using the Blossoming Happiness Die to cut three flowers, I clipped the flowers to a coordinating piece of Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper, 4″ X 51/4″.
Before attaching the designer paper to my card base, I cut 1″ from the bottom, and set aside for the sentiment. Next, I used Dimensionals to attach the clipped flowers portion, and glued the remaining DSP to the card base. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Because the card was making me laugh, I searched for a sentiment that would fit the occasion, and found it in the Forever Fern Stamp Set. I stamped “love & laughter forever after,” in Memento Black Ink on the designer paper, and attached it with strips of Dimensionals (the left-over border).
To add a bit more color, I used two Blossoming Happiness Dies to cut green leaves from the designer paper, and glued them in place.

The Sale-a-bration stamp set, Wonderful World, has beautiful “distinktive” flowers. During Sale-a-bration (July-August), you can choose this set, including the designer paper, for FREE with a $100 order.
For today’s card, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut a gorgeous floral of Wonderful World Designer Paper. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the card front with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.

“Distinktive” Wonderful World
The backside of the paper has a green, leaf print, which I used to cut the photo corners, and glued them to the floral pattern. The photo corners are in the Fabulous Frames Die Set. Aren’t they great?

Next, I stamped the flowers in Blackberry Bliss Ink, and Merry Merlot Ink, on Basic White Cardstock, and used two Deckled Rectangles Dies for cutting. I used one die that is 1 1/2″ wide, and a larger die, to make the rectangles shorter, so they would fit my design. Then, I glued the one corner together, and attached them with Dimensionals.

The small “hello” is from the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink, cut with a Ranunculus Die, and attached with a Dimensional.
You’re going to want this Sale-a-bration item; all of the paper is gorgeous, and the “distinktive” flowers stamp beautifully!

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Today’s card began with the idea of red birds with a blue and white background for a color challenge.
The Pretty Birds Stamp Set has stamps for “two-step” stamping to color the birds. I eliminated the first, “detailed” stamps, and just used the four “coloring” stamps, in Real Red ink, to make the birds look watercolored. After cutting with their Birdhouse Dies, I placed the birds on Dimensionals. Aren’t they pretty?

Red, White & Blue
For their blue background, I used an Eden Die to cut from Sun Prints Designer Paper, which includes the colors of Pacific Point, Starry Sky, and Night Of Navy. This rectangular wreath was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment is from the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set, which fit the space perfectly. I stamped it in Pacific Point Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used another Eden Die for cutting. Prior to attaching the birds, I glued the framed sentiment in the center of the wreath, “You are a real blessing to everyone around you.”

I was inspired by the Paper Players.

Are you ready for another sneak peek? The Wonderful World Stamp Set has the coolest flowers, and guess what……it’s FREE! That’s right; it’s one of the Sale-a-bration products that you can choose for FREE with a $100 order during July and August. And, it comes with gorgeous designer paper that everyone is sure to want.

For today’s card, I simply stamped the flowers in Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
Prior to stamping the flowers, I created the background with a Watercolor Shapes Stamp, and two colors of Ink. The top rectangle is Pool Party, and the bottom rectangle is Soft Sea Foam.

#simplestamping Wonderful World
“Hello there” is from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set, also stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. After stamping, I glued the layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and my #simplestamping card was complete.
The Stamparatus was used for stamping, and I believe it is one of the most helpful tools. Not only does it give you the capability of stamping multiple times in the same spot, it enables you to position things before stamping. Click on its picture in my Product List for more details.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Plants and leaves are beautiful on cards, and the theme for this week’s Global Design Project. I chose a favorite leaf from the Ranunculus Die Set. Isn’t it wonderful?

Ranunculus Leaf
To create the colors, I used Blending Brushes, Basic White Cardstock, and six colors of ink: Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Fresh Freesia, and Polished Pink. Then, I used the Ranunculus leaf die for cutting.

The background for my rainbow of leaves is a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to attaching the leaves, I gave the card base a simple border, using the largest Stitched With Whimsy die. Three of the leaves were glued, and three were attached with thin strips of Dimensionals.

The sentiment was created with the Charming Sentiments Bundle and heat embossing. First, I stamped “congratulations” in VersaMark on Basic White Cardstock. Second, I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. Third, I used its Sentiments Silhouettes Die for cutting. Finally, I attached the sentiment with a thin strip (cut from the edge) of Dimensionals.
For a little sparkle, I added three Glossy Dots in coordinating colors.
