Easy To Make Wedding Card

June is the traditional wedding month, and The Lasting Elegance Dies have all the detail you need for a beautiful wedding card. It’s hard to believe that something with such intricate detail would be so easy to make, but it is.

This design would work well, if you needed to make a large number of invitations.

By Su Mohr; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Lasting Elegance Dies, So Sentimental Stamp Set; #weddingcards #easytomake #handmadecards #cardmaking #papercrafting #weddings #weddinginvirations

Simple Wedding Card

I began with a Thick Very Vanilla card base, and trimmed  a layer of Whisper White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Using the larger Lasting Elegance die, I cut the pattern with my die-cutting machine. Then, I used the smaller die to cut the pattern in the bottom corner.

The sentiment is from the So Sentimental Stamp Set, which I stamped in Crumb Cake Ink. Ever notice how Crumb Cake Ink looks like gold without the shine?

There are some wonderful wedding sentiments in the Last A Lifetime Stamp Set that coordinates with the dies. But, I chose this one because it filled the space perfectly.

The last detail was adding three little pearls. I wore my mother-in-laws pearls on my wedding day, so weddings and pearls just seem to go together.

Stenciled Balloons Masculine Birthday Card

Would you like to make this masculine birthday card? Just follow along, and I’ll tell you how! The supplies I used are in my Product List below.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Majestic Mountain Dies, Balloon Bouquet Punch, Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set, Forever Greenery DSP, Forever Fern Stamp Set; #masculinebirthdaycards #masculinecards #birthdaycards #majesticmountain #stenciling #stencilingoncards #cardtechniques #cardinstructions #forevergreenery #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting

Stenciled Balloons

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, fold in the middle at 4 1/4″.

Trim 1″ from the card front with a Majestic Mountain Die. You can turn it either way for a different edge.

Using the Balloon Bouquet Punch, cut a stencil from Whisper White Cardstock. Use a Sponge Dauber and three colors of Ink (Soft Sea Foam, Bermuda Bay, and Garden Green) to color the balloons. Stamp the dots in Soft Sea Foam Ink on the card front as shown. The dot stamp is from the Forever Fern Stamp Set.

TIP: Hold a piece of scratch paper next to the smaller balloon, so you won’t Sponge Daub over the edge. Stamp off some of the ink before applying it, to get a lighter look.

Stamp “Happy Birthday” in Shaded Spruce Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die. Attach it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Cut a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Paper 4″ X 5 1/4″ , and adhere to the inside. Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock 2 3/4″ X 5″, and adhere to the left side of the DSP to give you a blank space for writing. I see I forgot to add the Forever Greenery DSP, and it is #152492.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Simple Hello

Step by Step Instructions:

Cut Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, and fold in the middle at 4 1/4″ to make your card base.

Use the largest Ornate Layers Die to cut regular weight, Whisper White Cardstock to make the layer.

Emboss with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder, and glue to the card base.

Use a scalloped Layering Circles Die to cut a circle from Mossy Meadow Cardstock.

Use a plain Layering Circles Die, a tiny bit smaller, to cut a circle from Ornate Garden Designer Paper, and glue them together.

Add Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the circle to the embossed layer.

Stamp “hello” from the Forever Fern Stamp Set in VersaMark on Mossy Meadow Cardstock.

Sprinkle it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.

Use Mini-Dimensionals to attach the sentiment, and fussy cut a daisy from the DSP to glue to the end of the label. That’s all folks!

A Single Poppy “In Color”

Stampin’ Up’s! new 2020-2022 In Colors are gorgeous, and today’s card, for the Global Design Project, is using three of them.

By Su Mohr for Global Design Project; Click READ or VIUSIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: 2020-2022 In Colors, Tasteful Textile embossing, Ornate Layers Dies, Poppy Moments Dies, Rooted In Nature Stamp Set; #gdp245 #poppies #poppiesoncards #incolors #stampinup #flowersoncards #poppymoments #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy#cardmaking #papercrafting #cardchallenges #colorcombos

Poppy “In Color”

It was simple to cut the poppy flower and leaves using the Poppy Moments Dies. The poppy frame was cut from Magenta Madness Cardstock, the flower center from Bumble Bee Cardstock, and the leaves from Just Jade Cardstock. Don’t you love the names?

I filled in the spaces on the poppy by using the “solid” die to cut one piece of Vellum, and glued the two together.

TIP: Match the poppy frame with the vellum before gluing, because if you move it afterwards, you’ll smear the glue.

To make the poppy “pop,” I gave it a white background of Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. This was layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.

The pretty strip beneath the poppy was made with an Ornate Layers Die, and provided a perfect spot for the sentiment. “Be strong, be happy, be you” is from the  Rooted In Nature Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.

The strip is “popped up” on Dimensionals, along with the “popped up” poppy!  hee hee

Masculine Theme for the Kre8tors Blog Hop

The theme for this month’s Kre8tors Blog Hop is “masculine.”  Are sloths good subject matter for masculine cards? You betcha! This card was designed especially for my husband, because he had shoulder replacement surgery last Wednesday.

By Su Mohr for the Kre8tors Blog Hop; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Back On Your Feet Stamps Set, Forever Greenery DSP, Ornate Layers Dies, Ornate Frames Dies, Stampin' Blends; #sloths #slothsoncards #getwellcards #backonyourfeet #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #bloghops #humorouscards

Get Well Sloth

Sloths really are cute, aren’t they?

I began with the sloth’s card base of Crumb Cake, embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I added leaves to the scene with a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.

Now for the sloth from the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set. I stamped him in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored him with Stampin’ Blends, and one Stampin’ Write Marker for the leaves. The colors are listed in my Product List below.

I used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and then trimmed one end with a larger die to make the rectangle a little shorter. Sometimes you lose a stitch on the end, oops.

Here’s a picture, so you can understand how I did it.

“Sigh..” is also from Back On You Feet, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. The die has a small frame that cuts at the same time, which I didn’t use. You can see the die set in my Product List.

The sentiment is continued on the inside, “Sometimes that’s all there is to say-and that I’m here for you.” The leaves were cut from the Forever Greenery DSP with a Forever Flourishing Die. How handy is that! I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything!

Back On Your Feet Turtle

I’m having more fun with the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set! This turtle is so cute, and the sentiment fits perfectly, “Hope you’re back on your feet soon.” I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cut it with an Ornate Frames Die.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Back On Your Feet Stamp Set, Stampin' Blends, Absolutely Argyle embossing, Braided Linen Trim; #getwellcards #turtles #turtlesoncards #humorouscards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #cardsketches #cardchallenges

Uh oh!

I began by stamping the turtle in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and coloring him with Stampin’ Blends in two colors: Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow. They come in combo packs, which you can see in my Product List, and I used the light and dark of both colors for blending.

A Layering Squares Die was used for cutting the turtle. And, I used the same die to cut a square from Forever Greenery Designer Paper to place behind the turtle.

My idea for the squares was from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder.

After taping a strand of Braided Linen Trim to the back of the embossed layer, I glued it to a Mossy Meadow card base.
