When you address your Christmas cards, there are special friends you haven’t seen for a while. You want to say, “let’s get together soon,” and this card is meant for them.

Holiday Hearts
I began with holiday plaids from the 6X6 Wrapped in Plaid Designer Paper. Then, I used a Puzzle Pieces Die to cut the two hearts into four pieces each. I layered the eight pieces for sturdiness, and placed them on Dimensionals.
When later attaching them to the background, I gave the pieces slight separation, so the jigsaw would be more obvious.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Stylish Scroll Folder, layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.

The sentiment, “May this special season be wrapped in love & joy,” is from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. It is on a Whisper White label die from the Ornate Frames Die Set. The fancy frame surrounding it, in Shaded Spruce Cardstock, is also an Ornate Frames Die.
Completing the sentiment is “let’s get together soon,” from the Love You To Pieces Stamp Set, which I cut with the Classic Label Punch. And, this ties the whole card “together.”

Thinking of special friends, I wanted to share a friend’s card with you. I love how she stamped the tree from the Winter Woods stamp set, gradually making it lighter. And, the added touch of gold and bling to complete the scene. I’m very proud of this lady, and it gives me much pleasure to see the joy that stamping brings to her life.

Thank you for stopping by today! You can see my supplies in the Product List below, and clicking on the pictures takes you to my store for shopping. Thanks!

Today’s card began with the “toppings” challenge from Seize the Birthday, “a touch of red.” A little red wine would be perfect for the challenge!

Cheers, Gorgeous!
First, I stamped the wine glass from the Sip Sip Hooray Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Then, I stamped the wine with Cherry Cobbler Ink, and cut the glasses with a Sip & Celebrate Die.
Second, I used the “bubbles” Sip & Celebrate Die at the top of the Whisper White background. Next, I layered this on Basic Black Cardstock, creating a 1/16th” border, which I layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.

“Cheers” was made with a Sip & Celebrate Die and Sparkle Glimmer Paper. It really sparkles in person!

The sentiment, “Happy Birthday, Gorgeous,” is from the Beautiful You Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink On Whisper White Cardstock. I used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting, along with its Basic Black frame.
I thought of the three, little rhinestones at the last second. They just seemed to fit!

Thank you for the inspiration, Seize the Birthday Designers.

I’m trying to get ready for Thanksgiving, but had to sneak into my craft room for “just one more” card. How would I use the yummy colors; Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, and Flirty Flamingo?

Sparkling Boughs
I began with a Crumb Cake card base, topped with a layer of Mossy Mossy, then Whisper White. The two layers were given rounded corners by using the handy dandy Detailed Trio Punch. And, I embossed the Whisper White layer with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder for texture. You can read more about these items by clicking on their pictures in my Product List below.

Next, I used a Beautiful Boughs Die to cut the bough from Whisper White Cardstock that I had “painted” with Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. This gives a nice variation in shade. And, I cut a second bough from Crumb Cake Cardstock to act as a shadow, giving depth.
TIP: Hold the Stampin’ Blend loosely, at an angle, to protect the tip of the brush.

I used two more dies from the Beautiful Boughs Die Set to cut pinecones from Crumb Cake Cardstock, with a Flirty Flamingo backing. I used a Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend for the pinecone backing, the same way I “painted” the bough.
You probably noticed how the bough is sparkling. Before gluing everything together, I applied Shimmery Crystal Effects to the bough, which is a strong adhesive for the Ice Stampin’ Glitter that I sprinkled on afterwards. It’s great, because it stays in place, unlike other glitter.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. This wonderful label die is also a Beautiful Boughs Die, and it comes with the two holes that I used for tying it with Linen Thread. I also tied a Linen Thread bow at the top of the pinecones, as a finishing touch.

I love the color combination in Global Design Project’s challenge, so I HAD to participate.

The year 2020 is fast approaching, so this was on my mind as I made today’s card.

New Year’s Dreams
Normally, I don’t begin with the sentiment, but the words from the Playful Penguin Stamp Set would take center stage. I stamped “May your New Year’s dreams come true” in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting. I love the beautiful font in the fancy frame! Don’t you?

The bottom half of the card front is a piece of Vellum Cardstock, embossed by the Swirls & Curls Embossing Folder.
The top half has a swirl that I found in the Stargazing stamp Set. I colored the Red Rubber stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers in five “Bright” colors, and stamped on Whisper White cardstock, leaving a wonderful, rainbow image.

To complete the card, I added sequins from two assortments, Woven Threads and Iridescent, matching the colors in the swirl.

I was inspired by two challenges:

The penguins are so cute, this sentiment is easy to overlook, and I’m so glad I found it.
Another discovery is on page 31 of the new 2020 Mini Catalog; a stamp set with sentiments sized to fit the Ornate Frames perfectly! Yay! The Ornate Frames are carrying over from the Holiday Catalog.
So, you can add Perfectly Framed #151668 to your “want list,” and buy the Ornate Frames today!
All the supplies for today’s card are in my Product List. Thanks for shopping with me, and have a great day!

My husband drove to Las Vegas with me for the Stampin’ Up! Convention, because he loves to golf. Here we are at a beautiful course in Las Vegas, Bear’s Best, the day before OnStage.

Can you imagine my delight at discovering a new stamp set, dies and DSP were all about golf!?
Everyone received the Designer Paper, Country Club, as a gift at OnStage, and I ordered the stamp set and dies immediately. They arrived today, and I couldn’t wait to share my first card with you.

Golf Club
The first thing I did was cut out the golf ball from Whisper White Cardstock. It has dimples, just like a real golf ball. I accentuated them by partially brushing the ball with Smoky Slate Ink.
And how about those golf clubs! Are they cute, or what??? They cut perfectly from a Silver Foil Sheet.

My golf ball is sitting on the fairway made of Garden Green Cardstock, cut with a Friendly Silhouettes Die. The Golf Club Die Set has a great tuft of grass, but I needed a strip of grass for the Paper Player’s sketch.
TIP: I trimmed some of the blades, so the grass wouldn’t have a perfectly straight edge.

The background is a layer of Seaside Spray Cardstock, with Subtle Textured embossing, on a card base of the same color. I took photos on three different designs of the DSP, so you could take a peek at them.

“Happy Birthday” is written in the sky by using the Well Written Die set, and with the same Seaside Spray to keep it subtle.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. The Clubhouse Bundle will be available Dec. 3 for Demonstrators, and Jan. 3 for customers. The other supplies are in my Product List today, but you’ll need to come back to find the new sets in my store. Put the numbers on your “want list.” Have a great day!

Painted Poppies was the theme of the Stampin’ Up! Convention last week, and I was lucky enough to come home with the stamp set! I ordered the coordinating dies, but until they arrive, I will use my Paper Snips for fussy cutting.

I began by stamping the outline of two flowers in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. And, guess what color I used to fill in the outline ………Poppy Parade! Perfect, huh? This was really simple, because there is a stamp in the set that does this in one, easy motion. There’s also a “splash” stamp, which I used on top of the flowers. Can you see it?

My poppies are on a “platform” made of Mossy Meadow Cardstock and Whisper White Cardstock, raised on Foam Adhesive Strips. I stamped a single leaf, randomly, from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink, and colored with Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. Then, I stamped, colored, and fussy cut two leaves, which I glued to the poppies.

Before gluing the “platform” together, I stamped “Thank You” in Memento Black Ink. This font is fantastic, isn’t it? It’s from the new Peaceful Moments Stamp Set that was specifically made to coordinate with Painted Poppies. It also comes with dies, and, yes, I ordered the dies also.
The background is Whisper White Cardstock, with randomly stamped leaves in Memento Black Ink, and placed on a Mossy Meadow card base.

My layout for today’s design is from Freshly Made Sketches.

Today is the last day for the Online Extravaganza Sale. Don’t miss out! Click this pic for details.

Thank you for visiting my Painted Poppies sneak peek. Isn’t peeking fun? Painted Poppies and Peaceful Moments will be available Dec. 3 for Demonstrators, and Jan. 3 for customers. The other supplies are in my Product List today, but you’ll need to come back to find the new sets in my store. Put the numbers on your “want list.” Have a great day!
