Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along.
I’m calling this month’s design a “circle flap.” It features the darling dog from Along These Lines Stamp Set, combined with Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper.

“Circle flap” Fun Fold
I started with a Basic Beige card base, 8″ X 4 1/4″, scored at 2 1/2″. The 2 1/2″ fold is the front, which I covered with Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper, 2 1/4″ X 4″. The same pattern was used for the inside, 5 1/4″ X 4″.

Next, I stamped the dog from Along These Lines Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on a second pattern of Beautiful Gallery DSP, and used a Spotlight On Nature Die for cutting. Then, I backed the circle with Basic Beige Cardstock, for thickness. After cutting another circle of Basic Beige Cardstock for the inside, I glued all the circles, making sure the border holes matched.

After gluing the circles, I stamped the sentiment, “hi friend,” from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, on Beautiful Gallery DSP. After stamping, I used its Wonderful Thoughts Dies for cutting, layered it for thickness, and glued it in place. For a little sparkle, I added three, copper, Metallic Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun card sketch, which you can see below. For my ultra simple design, I didn’t even use the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, a departure from my normal cards. All of the cuts were made with my Paper Trimmer.

Beautiful Gallery Roses
I chose the pretty roses from Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper to cut in three sections, 3 3/4″ X 1 1/4″. Then, I glued the sections to Secret Sea cardstock, 3 7/8″ X 4 1/16″. This was glued to a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
By the way, I use my Paper Trimmer on every single card, because it’s how I begin with my card base. When I say 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I’ve used my Paper Trimmer to cut the cardstock, and score at 4 1/4″, before folding. This score line gives a nice, exact, fold.

The sentiment, “with sympathy,” is from the carry-over, Unbounded Love Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink on Cloud Cover Cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 7/8″, backed it with Secret Sea Cardstock, 1 7/8″ X 1″, and attached it with Dimensionals. The last detail was adding three of the beautiful, new, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. They are so pretty in Cloud Cover!

Now it’s your turn to have fun with this week’s card sketch! Be sure to tag your creation with #gdp498, when you share it with social media, so we can find you.

I was excited to begin my second card, using the Feathered Fun Stamp Set. If you missed my first card, you can see it below. For today’s card, I stamped the two birds in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used Paper Snips to fussy cut. Then, I used Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends for coloring.

Birds on a Branch
Next, I used a Delightful Wishes die to cut the branch from Country Woods Designer Paper, and layered it with cardstock for thickness. Then, I used a Thoughtful Garden die to cut the leaves from Splendid Autumn Designer Paper. The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4 7/8″ X 3 5/8″, layered on Splendid Autumn DSP, 5″ X 3 3/4″. The two layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base.

The sentiment, “Thankful for you friend,” is from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink. After gluing the branch and leaves in place, and attaching the birds with Dimensionals, my second, Feathered Fun card, was complete.

Clicking the photo will take you to the original blog post of my first Feathered Fun card.

Along These Lines is becoming a favorite stamp set! Today’s card is featuring the bird, which I’ve heat embossed on Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper, and cut with the second largest Everyday Arches die. I stamped the bird three times in VersaMark, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. Then, I used a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend to color the birds. The embossed lines made this very easy, by containing the ink.

Along These Lines Birds
I added a border to the “sky” by using the largest Everyday Arches die to cut Gingham Vellum. After cutting, I glued the layers to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Just breathe and take it slow” is from the new, Scenic Adventure Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue Ink to blend in with the “sky.” For some sparkle, I added three, Iridescent Foil Gems.

Here is my second card featuring the adorable dog from Along These Lines Stamp Set. I stamped him in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and placed him on Dimensionals. Then, I layered him on Floral Impressions Designer Paper, cut with a Perennial Postage Die, a size larger.

Floral Impressions Dog
The dog is laying among Floral Impressions Designer Paper, cut with the largest Perennial Postage Die. This was glued to a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Isn’t this paper gorgeous? You can see all of the patterns of Floral Impressions DSP in my Product List below.

“Hello” is from the Sweet Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped it in Fresh Freesia Ink, used the smallest Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final touch, I added three, Strawberry Slush & Pretty In Pink Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using new 2025-2027 In Colors: Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush, and Darling Duckling. Start thinking of ways to use this color combo. Then, we’d love for you to show off your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp497, so everyone can see it.
To show off the new colors, I used the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks. The masks are marked one through five, and have notches for ease of lining things up. All you need to do is choose the colors of ink, and apply it with Blending Brushes. I colored on Basic White Cardstock, the same size as the masks, 5″ X 6 5/8″. You can vary the pressure, and amount of ink, to achieve lighter and darker colors. After completing your amazing floral arrangement, rinse the masks and brushes in water, so they will be clean for your next project.

2025-2027 In Colors
Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die for cutting, and glued this to a Secret Sea card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Secret Sea is a beautiful, blue-gray color; a great neutral!

“You make me smile” is from the Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Textured Notes Die for cutting, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. To complete the card, I added three, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. It’s hard to appreciate them in the photo, but they have extra shine.
