I wasn’t planning to use the Storybook Friends Bundle to make masculine cards, but when I saw this pair in the Storybook Moments Designer Paper, I changed my mind. What father wouldn’t love this Father’s Day card? Lily is 2 1/2 now, and showing an interest in cards, so I assist her by making cards that she can give. Then, she scribbles on the inside, and enjoys the thrill of card giving. She won’t see this card until June, when it’s time to give it to her Daddy:)

Storybook Father’s Day
I began by fussy cutting the bunnies from Storybook Moments Designer Paper, and placing them on Dimensionals. Then, I used a Storybook Friends Die to cut the frame from Pecan Pie Cardstock and Basic Beige Cardstock. I glued these to Crumb Cake Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, which was given texture with the Timber Embossing Folder. The Basic White Cardstock layer beneath is 1/8″ larger, giving a 1/16″ border. Both were glued to a Pecan Pie card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. As an afterthought, I gave the bunnies “ground” using a Forever Forest stamp with Crumb Cake Ink.

“Happy Father’s Day” is from the Trusty Tools Stamp Set, cut with a Wonderful Thoughts Die. The trim beneath the sentiment label is Natural Polka Dot Trim, attached securely with Tear & Tape. The trim is a Last Chance item, and still available when writing this post. I’m on a roll, so I’ll be posting a Mother’s Day card on Sunday (1/12).

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month’s theme is Sale-A-Bration. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! The lineup is at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Yay! Sale-a-bration is here! You can now get the Sale-a-bration items for FREE, with a qualifying order! My favorite item is the Heart Shaped Bundle, which I’m featuring on my card today. I began by stamping two hearts, from the Heart Shaped Stamp Set, in Melon Mambo on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I stamped, “my heart loves your heart,” in Memento Black Ink, between the hearts.

Heart Shaped
Next, I used a Heart Shaped Die to cut two hearts from Marbled Elegance Designer Paper, and glued them on top of the stamped hearts. A second die was used to cut three flowers, which I glued next to leaves that I stamped in Melon Mambo. This paper, Marbled Elegance, has wonderful, gold highlights, and is an Online Exclusive, with a link in my Product List below.

After gluing the layer to my Bubble Bath card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I added three Blooming Pearls to the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by.

There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be the Language of Love.

January 7th is here; the day you can add new, exciting, products to your crafting space! It’s also the beginning of Sale-a-bration, which means you get FREE products with qualifying orders.
I’ve been showing you sneak peeks of the Storybook Friends Bundle, and today I’m showing you additional items in the suite, because you might want to get the WHOLE thing! The strawberries and vegetables are from the Storybook Garden Patch Bundle, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used their Storybook Garden Patch Dies for cutting. Then, I colored the images with Stampin’ Blends in five colors: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Granny Apple Green, and Pecan Pie.

Storybook Garden Patch
Next, I attached the strawberries and vegetables to a circle of Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Spotlight On Nature Die. This was attached with Dimensionals to Storybook Moments Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, which was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thank you so very much” is from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink, used a smaller Spotlight On Nature Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

This bundle comes with gardening tools, also. How fun! I’ll be showing you a card I made with them, soon.

The first Global Design Project for 2025 is a sketch challenge. Please join in the challenge, and tag your entry #gdp478, so that we can find you.

For the circle in the sketch, I chose to make a wreath. The Encircled In Nature Dies are a favorite for making beautiful, delicate, wreaths. For today’s wreath, I used Mossy Meadow Cardstock, along with two designer papers: Perennial Lavender and Country Woods.

Wreath in Designer Paper
For the square, I used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut Perennial Lavender Designer Paper. A second Stylish Shapes Die was used to cut the sentiment label from Country Woods DSP. Prior to cutting, I stamped, “a huge thank you,” in Mossy Meadow Ink.
The background is a fabulous pattern of Storybook Moments Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″, available January 7. That’s tomorrow! This layer was glued to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

To complete the design, I added die-cut leaves along the bottom of the sentiment label, and three 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems. The gems are blending in, so look carefully.

The Stampin’ Fancy Friday Design Team is a group of past and continuing Artisans, bringing our followers a fancy monthly challenge for inspiration. This month’s challenge is “bold & bright.”

I created two “fun fold” cards with six of Stampin’ Up’s bright colors; one in portrait, and one in landscape orientation.

Bright & Bold Fun Fold Cards
For the birthday card, I stamped the heart, from the Hearts Of Elegance Bundle, in Granny Apple, Green Lemon Lime Twist, and Pumpkin Pie. After stamping the hearts on Basic White Cardstock, I used their Hearts Of Elegance Die for cutting, along with three, plain, white, hearts for backing. Next, I cut Thick Basic White Cardstock, 7″ X 5 1/4″, folded at 3″, creating the fun fold. The front was decorated with Full Of Life Designer Paper in the same bright colors, 2 3/4″ X 5″. After gluing the hearts in place, I stamped “Happy Birthday,” from the So Sincere Stamp Set, used a Friends For Life Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The last step was gluing this white card base to Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, and adding three Shiny Sequins.

The inside was stamped with “Knowing you brings joy to my heart,” also from the So Sincere Stamp Set. This picture shows how the hearts look with backing.

The Valentine fun fold was created a bit differently. I began with a Petunia Pop card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I glued Full Of Life Designer Paper to the front, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and simply cut 1 inch off the card front. This time I stamped the hearts in Petunia Pop, Berry Burst, and Melon Mambo. “Happy Valentine’s Day” is from the Hearts Of Elegance Stamp Set, and Something Fancy Dies were used for cutting.

The sentiment inside is also from the Hearts Of Elegance Stamp Set.
