It’s time for our Global Design Project, end-of-the-year, two-week challenge! It’s a fun color challenge, using Pretty In Pink, Poppy Parade, and Pebbled Path, which made me think of the Umbrella Days Bundle.

Floating Umbrellas
Don’t you love the umbrellas? The “fabric” was created with Basic White Cardstock, colored with Blending Brushes, using Pretty In Pink Ink, and Poppy Parade Ink. Then, I used an Umbrella Days Die to cut the four sections, and glued them together with the handle. The handle was cut with an Umbrella Days Die from Pebbled Path Cardstock.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, glued to a Pebble Path card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the rain and sentiment, from the Umbrella Days Stamp Set. “You are the umbrella to my rainy days” is such a cute thing to say, don’t you think?

To create the clouds, I used a Blending Brush and Pebbled Path Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used Umbrella Days Dies for cutting, and attached them with Dimensionals.

If you missed my blog post from December 8, it was another card from the Umbrella Days Bundle.

My Storybook Friends sneak peeks continue, with a thank you card in the strawberry patch. This gorgeous paper is one of the Storybook Moments Designer Paper patterns. I used a Storybook Friends Die to cut the frame from White Willow Cardstock, and stamped “Thank you so very much” in Boho Blue Ink. This sentiment is in the Storybook Friends Stamp Set.

Strawberry Patch
After gluing the strawberry paper to a White Willow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I added details using Storybook Moments Designer Paper. I fussy cut the strawberries, and the hat, fence, and wheelbarrow were punched out. This designer paper coordinates with the Storybook Garden Bundle.

For the final detail, I added three, Brushed Brass Butterflies.

My third, Storybook Friends, sneak peek, is for my nephew. He loves to fish, so this will be his 2025 birthday card. Isn’t the racoon cute? He was easy to punch out from the Storybook Moments sheet, and place on Dimensionals.

Fishing Racoon
I framed the racoon with Storybook Moments Designer Paper, cut with a Citrus Bloom Die. This was glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Country Birdhouse Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock. I used a Happy Little Things Die (retired) for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Storybook Friends will be available January 7,2025!

For my second, Storybook Friends sneak peek, I featured my favorite bunny. Isn’t he adorable? He was easy to cut with his Storybook Friends Die from the Storybook Moments Designer Paper.

Some Bunny
I framed the bunny in one of the three, Storybook Friends frames, cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock, with Basic Beige Cardstock for the middle of the frame.

The background is a rectangle of Storybook Moments Designer Paper, glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Do you see it on the full sheet of designer paper?

To add a “bunch” of color, I hand cut carrots from another sheet of Storybook Moments Designer Paper. The sentiment, “Some bunny loves you,” is from the Storybook Friends Stamp Set, stamped in Pecan Pie Ink. After attaching the bunny and carrots, my second Storybook Friends sneak peek was complete.

For today’s Global Design Project, I had fun CASEing Elodie Ventroux’s beautiful card. I love her soft, pink and gray color palette, with a touch of gold.

I am giving you a sneak peek of a new, Sale-a-bration item (free with a $120 purchase) that will be available January 7, 2025. The Heart Shaped Bundle includes a stamp set and dies, and you are going to want this gorgeous heart! First I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set, “my thoughts of you are all heart shaped,” in Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the heart die for cutting. Second, I used the same die to cut 2025-2026 6″ X 6″ In Color Designer Paper to give the heart a frame. This is possible, because the heart cuts in two pieces!

Heart Shaped sneak peek
To prepare the background, I used Pretty In Pink Ink with a Blending Brush on Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″. Then, I flicked Smoky Slate dots onto it with a Stampin’ Blend. After stamping the heart in Smoky Slate Ink, I glued the layer to a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing the die-cut heart, I used a second Heart Shaped Die to cut two sprigs from Gold Foil to place beneath the heart. I hope you enjoyed seeing this sneak peek, because I loved making it, with Elodie’s inspiration. Now, it’s your turn to create a design to share with us. Don’t forget to tag it #gdp476, so everyone can see it!

December’s assignment for the 2024 Artisan Design Team was to create projects using the Cake Celebrations Bundle.

Cake Celebrations
For the first card, I chose a Crumb Cake card base with a layer of Basic White Cardstock. After stamping the layer with Granny Apple Green leaves, I used an Everyday Details Die to cut a circle for the cake. The cake, plate, candles and banner were all created with Cake Celebrations Stamps and Dies.

“Happy Birthday,” is from the Cake Celebrations Stamp Set, cut with an Everyday Details Die, and embellished with Rainbow Dots.

The second card features multi-layered cake, decorated with pretty flowers, on a gold plate.

The circle behind the cake is the “cut out” circle from the first card, heat embossed with “Happy Anniversary.” For the background, I used Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Paper in gold & white, on a Thick Basic White card base.
