I really enjoy die-cutting, and adding “thickness” to the images for dimension. I hope you find the following tips useful.
Die-cut layering tips
Step 1. Use a die to cut two images. In my example, I used “Christmas” with Gold Foil,
and Wild Wheat Cardstock. The colors should match as closely as possible. Lay the
images flat on your work space, and add pin dots of Liquid Glue to the die-cut that will
be the bottom layer. Place the top layer over the bottom layer, having it match as closely
as possible.
Step 2. Before the glue is set, lift the die-cuts in the air, and carefully mold the sides with
your fingers, for even edges.
Step 3. You can add even more dimension with an additional layer of paper. The
Peaceful Season Dies have a die that fits the word “Christmas” perfectly, and allows you
to raise it higher on Mini Dimensionals.

The 2024 Artisan Design Team loves Stampin’ Up!’s colors! We have been inspired by pages 132 and 133 in the Annual Catalog and have shared a bit of colorful inspiration with you on Instagram. I’m also sharing my project with you on my blog.
Color Theory
Stampin’ Up! has a new tool, a “Color Coach, “that you’ll be able to order November 5. It’s #166481, so put that number on your list.
For my Christmas card, I chose the color Pretty In Pink, combined with Melon Mambo and Copper Clay. These are analogous colors, side by side on the color wheel.
The background was created with a Winterly Tree Tops die-cut, and a Blending Brush with Pretty In Pink Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The trees are from the Peaceful Evergreen Stamp Set, stamped in Melon Mambo.
Copper Clay Cardstock was used for a 1/16″ border, and three strands of Linen Thread. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Seasons Stamp Set, stamped in Melon Mambo, and cut with a Peaceful Seasons Die.
The tag shows “complementary” colors, Pretty In Pink and Lost Lagoon, which are opposite on the wheel.
I created the tag with Country Birdhouse Dies, and a checked pattern from Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper. After backing it with Basic White Cardstock, I cut the roof and ledge from Pretty In Pink Cardstock and Basic White Cardstock.
Before attaching the ledge with Dimensionals, I stamped “Love from my home to yours.” The sentiment is from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set.
I used a Country Birdhouse stamp and Memento Black Ink to stamp the bird on Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper.

October’s assignment for the 2024 Artisan Design Team was to create projects using the Regal Flora Bundle from the 2024 September- December Mini Catalog. You’ll find the supplies in my Product List below.
Regal Flora Artisan Project
For the first card, I chose a Petal Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I layered it with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Prior to gluing the cardstock, I gave it texture with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder.
Next, I stamped the Regal Flora, single flower, in five colors of ink on Basic White Cardstock: Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Pretty In Pink. After stamping I used its Regal Flora Die for cutting the nine flowers. The two Garden Green sprigs were also stamped and die-cut.
To make the rectangular wreath I used the frame of a Regal Flora die-cut, which was glued to the card front. Then, I arranged the flowers, attached them with Dimensionals, and glued the sprigs.
“Sending love your way” is from the Regal Flora Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on the center of the die-cut. After stamping, I attached it with Dimensionals. Rainbow Dots were added as a final touch.
The second card features a small flower, stamped in the same colors as the first card, cut with its Regal Flora Die, and placed on Dimensionals. The piece beneath the flowers was also cut with a Regal Flora Die, from Basic White Cardstock, and colored with a Blending Brush and Granny Apple Green Ink.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, with the sentiment stamped directly on it. “Wishing I were there to give you a hug” and framed with a border from the die-cut. I also stamped the Garden Green dots, using a Regal Flora Stamp. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Stampin’ Up’s new year begins today, October 1st. Welcome to the holiday season! If you like treat boxes, you will love today’s project. Stampin’ Up’s new Book Treat Boxes (10 in a pack) are on page 27 in the September-December 2024 Mini Catalog.
Book Treat Boxes
The boxes were easy to cover in Sentimental Christmas Designer Paper. Sentimental Christmas DSP has a wonderful, vintage look to it, and was chosen by Stampin’ Up! for this year’s Product Giveback, to benefit children’s literacy. With each purchase of the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to organizations dedicated to the future of children around the world. We hope you’ll join us in making a difference this holiday season. Order #164209.
I used a Countryside Corners Die to cut the paper for the top of the box. The die that is 4″ wide fits perfectly. Then, I cut designer paper to continue covering the boxes. The back of the top is 4″ X 1″, the front and back of the box are 3 1/2″ X 1″, and the sides of the box are 2 3/4″ X 1″.
The box comes with score lines and tape, making it easy to fold and assemble. I used a Glue Dot under the flap, rather than sealing it permanently.

September’s assignment for the 2024 Artisan Design Team was to create projects using the Season Of Elegance Suite, from the 2024 September- December Mini Catalog. You’ll find the supplies in my Product List below.
Season Of Elegance
For the first card, I stamped the Peaceful Evergreens trees in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used its Peaceful Evergreens die for cutting. Next, I used a Peaceful Season die to cut “Christmas,” and its “bubble” from Season Of Elegance Designer Paper. After cutting, I glued the three together, and placed it on Dimensionals.
The background is Basic Beige Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, cut with a Peaceful Evergreens Die that created tiny holes. This was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. How do you like the paper bow? It was created with Peaceful Evergreens Dies that are pictured. I used Season Of Elegance DSP, softened with a Bone Folder for a nice, rounded bow.
The sentiment, “is in the air,” is from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Season Of Elegance DSP, used a Peaceful Season Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The second card features a tree from the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used its Peaceful Evergreens Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. The background is Basic White cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″, embossed with the Painted Trees Embossing Folder. This layer was glued to Season Of Elegance DSP, 3 3/4″ X 5″, and glued to a Cherry Cobbler card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment, “Peace & Joy,” is from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink, and used a Peaceful Season Die for cutting. After threading Cherry Cobbler & Gold Satin Ribbon through the holes, I attached it with Dimensionals. Prior to gluing the layers, I attached the top of the ribbon to the back of the white layer.
The gold star was cut with a Peaceful Evergreens Die, from a gold spot on the Season Of Elegance Designer Paper.

For today’s blog post, I’m sharing my Creative Artisan Project, designed with the Changing Leaves Bundle. The bundle has unusual leaves that includes a hybrid embossing folder.
Changing Leaves
The first card is a fun fold. The Crumb Cake card base is 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, scored at 2 3/4″ on each end and folded to the center. Use your Bone Folder to insure the ends meeting evenly in the center. Cut two “doors” from Pecan Pie Cardstock, 5 1/8″ X 1 7/8″. Layer with Crumb Cake Cardstock, 5″ X 1 3/4″, and Country Woods DSP, 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″. Glue one “door” on the right side of the card base, and one “door” on the left side, making sure the borders are even. Be careful to glue only the half that attaches to the card base.
Next, I decorated the “doors” with leaves, cut from Full Of Life Designer Paper with a Changing Leaves Die. The sprig was cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with a Changing Leaves Die. I doubled the leaves with cardstock for thickness, glued them in place, and added Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots on each “door,” as hinges.”Thank you” is from the Changing Leaves Stamp Set, stamped in Pecan Pie Ink, cut with a Changing Leaves Die, and attached with Dimensionals. I completed the inside with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, stamped with “I couldn’t have done it without you,” and die-cut leaves.
The second card has a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Pecan Pie Cardstock, 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″. The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder.
The leaves were stamped in Real Red Ink, Pumpkin Pie Ink and Crushed Curry Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used a portion of the large, Changing Leaves Die to cut the leaves, and attached them to the card front with glue and Dimensionals (the stems and some of the leaves were glued). The sentiment, “You are amazing in every single way,” was stamped in Pecan Pie Ink, cut with a Changing Leaves Die, and attached with Dimensionals. Cascading Champagne Iridescent Dots, adhered with tiny dots of glue, was the final detail.
All of the supplies used to create the two projects are in my Product List below.
