The theme for this month’s Kre8tors Blog Hop is “masculine.” Are sloths good subject matter for masculine cards? You betcha! This card was designed especially for my husband, because he had shoulder replacement surgery last Wednesday.

Get Well Sloth
Sloths really are cute, aren’t they?

I began with the sloth’s card base of Crumb Cake, embossed with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I added leaves to the scene with a piece of Forever Greenery Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.

Now for the sloth from the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set. I stamped him in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored him with Stampin’ Blends, and one Stampin’ Write Marker for the leaves. The colors are listed in my Product List below.
I used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and then trimmed one end with a larger die to make the rectangle a little shorter. Sometimes you lose a stitch on the end, oops.

Here’s a picture, so you can understand how I did it.

“Sigh..” is also from Back On You Feet, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. The die has a small frame that cuts at the same time, which I didn’t use. You can see the die set in my Product List.

The sentiment is continued on the inside, “Sometimes that’s all there is to say-and that I’m here for you.” The leaves were cut from the Forever Greenery DSP with a Forever Flourishing Die. How handy is that! I love how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything!

I’m having more fun with the Back On Your Feet Stamp Set! This turtle is so cute, and the sentiment fits perfectly, “Hope you’re back on your feet soon.” I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cut it with an Ornate Frames Die.

Uh oh!
I began by stamping the turtle in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and coloring him with Stampin’ Blends in two colors: Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow. They come in combo packs, which you can see in my Product List, and I used the light and dark of both colors for blending.

A Layering Squares Die was used for cutting the turtle. And, I used the same die to cut a square from Forever Greenery Designer Paper to place behind the turtle.

My idea for the squares was from the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder.
After taping a strand of Braided Linen Trim to the back of the embossed layer, I glued it to a Mossy Meadow card base.

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our theme is the “new 2020-2022 In Colors.” The Design Team is showcasing the new family of in colors from the new catalog. We know you will love them as much as we do! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Wow! The new “in colors” are so pretty, it’s hard to pick a favorite. Rather than slight any of the colors, I created a card using all five.

In Color Hearts
The heart was made with a Birds & More Die, and the five new In-Colors of Cardstock: Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, and Magenta Madness, in that order. If you look closely, you can see a pretty edge on the hearts, highlighted by being lifted on Mini- Dimensionals.
“Thinking of you with all my heart” is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, stamped in Night of Navy Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.
The wonderful, dotted paper is one of four patterns of In Color 6X6 DSP. You can see the other patterns in my Product List below. I used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting, which gives it a fantastic edge, don’t you think?

How do you like the ribbon? It’s the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, which is my favorite!
The card base is Thick Whisper White Cardstock, layered with Whisper White Cardstock that was cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. The white really makes those colors pop!

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for July 8th – Gifts from the Garden when the design team will showcase cards or gift ideas from treasures found in the garden. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.

Today’s card shows the versatility of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Designer Paper. You can use the backside to color it with any colors your heart desires.

Laser-Cut Color
I used Sponge Daubers and three colors of ink: Mint Macaron, Granny Apple Green, and Pear Pizzazz. See how much fun this is? I’ll complete a card with the stenciled portion to show you later this week.

I glued the colored, Laser-Cut Paper to Whisper White Cardstock, which I embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Next, I glued this layer to a Mint Macaron card base.

The Laser-Cut is intentionally askew to fit the sketch at Fab Friday.

The Fab Friday sketch was also what inspired the size and placement of the sentiment. “So Grateful” is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark on Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, set it with the Heat Tool, and cut it with an Ornate Layers Die.
For a final touch, I added three, little pearls.

It’s always fun to CASE a designer, and today’s birthday card is a CASE of Krista Frattin’s birthday card. I’m naming this “birthday card for all,” because I think it’s appropriate for male, female, young, or younger.

Birthday card for all

I began with a Sahara Sand card base, topped with a layer of Sahara Sand Cardstock. This layer was cut with an Ornate Layers Die, and then embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
A second Ornate Layers Die was used to cut the horizontal strip from Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper.

The focal point, circle, was cut from Whisper White Cardstock, using a Painted Labels Die, which you see in the first picture.
“Happy Birthday,” from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set, was stamped in Balmy Blue Ink, before placing the circle on Dimensionals.

The last detail was adding some Woven Threads Sequins, along with retired, gold star sequins. And, there you have a very “easy to make” birthday card.

What do you do when your husband needs some “get well” cheer? You find the cutest stamp set, Back On Your Feet, and make him a card! He’s going in for shoulder replacement surgery this week, so I’ll be making several cards, especially for him.
The first thing I did was stamp the giraffe in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Then, he was fussy cut (cut by hand), colored with Stampin’ Blends in Light Mango Melody and Light Soft Suede, and placed on Dimensionals.

“This is knot good”
For his background, I began with a Crumb Cake card base, topped with a layer of Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder. Hammered Metal? Hah! In this case it’s animal skin! Prior to embossing I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to the cut the white cardstock. A second Stitched Rectangles Die was used to make the smaller rectangle, which I backed with Crumb Cake Cardstock, giving it a 1/16″ border.
TIP: I used left-over edges of Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise the smaller rectangle.

The giraffe’s grass was made with 3″ strips of Granny Apple Green Cardstock and a Special Days Die. This is a great die for grass, and you can make it as wide as you want.

I used three, narrow, strips to follow this week’s CAS(E) this sketch.

The sentiment is from Back On Your Feet, and fits the giraffe perfectly, doesn’t it? The sentiments make this set especially cute! You can see the entire set in my Product List, and I’ll be making more cards with it in the near future.
I stamped “This is knot good” in Soft Suede Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. It was just the right size to fit along his neck.
