How I love the New Wonders fairy! Today, she is a Christmas fairy.
Christmas Fairy
I stamped the fairy in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, and used my Paper Snips for cutting. Then, I colored her with five colors of Stampin’ Blends, which are pictured in my Product List below.
I gave my fairy a plain, Whisper White background with a border of Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper, layered on a Thick Whisper White card base. I used Stitched Rectangles Dies for cutting, which made for easy layering.
Sticking with the stitched look, I used a Stitched Shapes Die to cut the square holding the sentiment. The fairy is saying, “No peeking ’til Christmas!” stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
Decorating the square is a bough made with a die from the Beautiful Boughs Die Set, and the same Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper.
The cute bow is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink, and cut with its Bouquet Bunch Die.

Sometimes I enjoy making Christmas cards with non-traditional colors; such as these from Stampin’ Up’s “brights” collection.
“Bright” Christmas
My incentive for using these colors was this week’s Paper Players challenge.
The first thing I decided was the focal point; a Christmas tree in a circle. I used the largest Stitched Shapes Die to cut the circle from Whisper White Cardstock, and the largest Layering Circles Die to cut the scalloped border from Bermuda Bay Cardstock.
The white circle wasn’t white long, because I used Sponge Daubers to cover it with Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green Ink.
My Christmas tree was easily created by using the Pine Tree Punch to cut the tree from the middle of the sponged circle. This allowed the Bermuda Bay scalloped circle to show through.
The background is a Thick Whisper White card base, layered with Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and a top layer of regular Whisper White Cardstock. The two layers were cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies, and the top layer was embossed with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder.
I found “Merry Christmas” in the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, which I stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. It fit perfectly within one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies.
For a little shine, I added a few Woven Threads Sequins.

Today’s holiday card began with Feels Like Frost Designer Paper. I chose the neutral color of Gray Granite for the card base to go with the subtle lavender.
Frost & Warmth
Using a Layering Squares Die, I cut a scallop edged square in the DSP, and stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite Ink. “Here’s to a season filled with warmth, comfort, and good cheer!” is from the First Frost Stamp Set.
Then, I used the plain edged square to cut two squares; one from Gray Granite Cardstock, and one from Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
Next, I layered the sentiment on the Sparkle Glimmer Paper, and glued a bough made with a Beautiful Bough Die cut from more Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
Finally, this was glued to the Gray Granite Cardstock, and all was placed in the hole on the card front on Dimensionals.
To complete the design, I cut five , little, do-dads with a die from the Detailed Deer Die Set, and placed them across the bottom. And, a few Woven Threads Sequins were the final touch.

I began today’s Christmas card with a Thick Very Vanilla card base, and a layer of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I embossed the layer with the Scripty Embossing Folder at an angle.
Holly & Berries
The Toile Tidings Designer Paper has a Very Vanilla background, so a perfect choice to complete my design.
I used a Beautiful Boughs Die to cut a fancy rectangle from a piece of the DSP with Garden Green branches and berries.
To add some colorful berries, I used a Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend. I layered the rectangle for thickness, and threaded some Braided Linen Trim through its cute, little, holes.
Can you see the branch I fussy cut from the DSP?
After placing the rectangle on Dimensionals, I taped the ends of the trim to the back of the Scripty embossed layer, tied a knot at the top, and fringed the ends.
“Christmas Cheer” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in cherry Cobbler ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

I’m always needing masculine, birthday cards, and leaves and trees are good subject matter.
Leaves & Trees
This card began with a Thick Whisper White card base layered with Woodland embossing. The leaves and tree “slice” are from the Rooted In Nature Stamp Set.
I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizazz Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, using an Aqua Painter and additional ink, to achieve the watercolored look.
The tree “slice” was stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and fussy cut with Paper Snips. The leaves were cut with a die from the coordinating, Nature’s Roots Die Set, and placed on Dimensionals.
“Happy” is from the Merry Christmas Die Set, cut from Whisper White Cardstock, that I colored with Calypso Coral Ink by using a Sponge Dauber. It has three layers, so the “y” that is hanging off will be sturdy.
“Birthday” is from the Well Said Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, also cut with a Merry Christmas Die. I was able to place a Mini-Dimensional beneath it for support.
For some sparkle, I added a few Iridescent Sequins, in colors close to Pear Pizazz and Calypso Coral.

The combination of gold and white is a winner for Christmas cards.
Golden Reindeer
First, I stamped the fancy, reindeer from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set in Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. Then, I used her Detailed Deer Die for cutting. Isn’t she pretty? This angle shows the shine.
I made the reindeer’s frame with Sparkle Glimmer Paper and two Stitched Shapes Dies.
TIP: Cut the largest square die and the medium square die at the same time, one inside the other.
Behind the framed reindeer is a strip of Whisper White Cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 5 1/2″, that I embossed with Swirls and Curls. I glued this to the middle of my Thick Whisper White card base.
For more white, the corner of the frame is decorated with a Polka Dot Tulle bow. I attached it with Tear & Tape for security.
Finally, “Happy Christmas” is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. It fit perfectly within one of our new, Ornate Frames die-cuts.
