Woo Hoo! UPS delivered my Stampin’ Up! order yesterday, and I went to work with the So Hoppy Together stamp set. These frogs from Sale-A-Bration are so cute, and I couldn’t wait to see them hopping all over one of my cards.
Hoppy Together
I decided to design some DSP by randomly stamping two of the frogs and some bugs in Black ink on Whisper White cardstock. I gave my DSP a border of Basic Black cardstock, and adhered it to a Granny Apple Green card base.The stamp set is pictured, for reference, in my Product List below.
The third, unicycle riding, frog received some special treatment. First, I stamped the Bokeh Dots stamp in Granny Apple Green ink on Whisper White cardstock. Then, I stamped the frog in Black ink on top of the green Bokeh Dots, and fussy cut him free from his unicycle. As the focal point, he was “hopped” up on dimensionals.
The sentiment, “Celebrating Another Year of Happiness,” is from the Well Said stamp set, and cut with a Petals & More label die. This sentiment ties in with the challenge at Global Design Project.
For some added sparkle, I used another FREE product from Sale-A-Bration, the Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets. Five small hearts were cut with a die from the Well Written die set, which add some awesome shine, don’t you think?
Besides being cute, this stamp set is FREE with a $50.00 qualifying order! All this FREE stuff makes me very “hoppy.” Have a day filled with “hoppiness!”

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! January is time for making “Art from the Heart,” featuring projects for Valentines Day, Thinking of You, Get Well, or Sympathy. I love making cards for Valentine’s Day, so “Art From The Heart” presented the perfect opportunity to make use of the Be Mine Stitched heart die.
Heart Aflutter
I began by simply stamping a small butterfly (Butterfly Gala stamp set) in Sahara Sand ink and Crumb Cake Ink on Whisper White cardstock. As I was happily stamping this plain, little, guy, randomly on the paper, the idea came to me to have the butterfly fluttering within a heart. So, I reached for the Be Mine Stitched die, and ran my stamped butterflies through the Big Shot. The Lovely Lipstick trim is cut with the same Be Mine Stitched die, using All My Love Designer Series Paper.
The right words were needed to convey the meaning of my fluttering heart, which I was able to make with the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. I stamped the letters in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock, and used my Paper Snips for cutting. I have an easy way of doing this, if you’d like to see my explanation from a previous blog post.
Tips on Using the Labeler Alphabet While Vacation Continues
The letters for “heart” wanted to flutter around atop dimensionals with the butterflies, but I managed to glue the word, “aflutter,” in a straight row.
For the background, I chose a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, because wood appeals to men, and a man will, most likely, be receiving this card. I layered the wood for thickness, and raised it on dimensionals on a Crumb Cake card base. The last detail to the card front was some Linen Thread tied around the bottom, and a bow attached with a Glue Dot. I also decorated the envelope flap with All My Love DSP that matches the heart trim.

When TGIF posted their color challenge, I thought of a Melon Mambo flower with Lemon Lime Twist leaves, and a Smoky Slate background.
Beautiful Promenade
Here is the link to the TGIF challenge:
First, I stamped the flower from Beautiful Promenade in VersaMark on Whisper White cardstock. This made the outline of the flower, which was hard to see, but I managed to see well enough to use a second stamp for the lines inside the flower.
The leaves were stamped in the same manner, sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool.
I colored the flower and leaves with Sponge Daubers, which I tapped on the Melon Mambo and Lemon lime Twist ink pads, and rubbed across the heat embossed images. Beautiful Layers dies were used for cutting.
To bring in the Smoky Slate color, I used it for the card base, with a background of dotted Smoky Slate from the 6X6 Neutrals Designer Series Paper.
My still life flower needed a frame, so I used two of the Rectangle Stitched dies for cutting it from Thick Whisper White cardstock.
The sentiment, “thanks,” is cut with a die from the Well Written die set, also from Thick Whisper White cardstock. The flower, and the leaves escaping the frame, are raised on Dimensionals.

We’re bringing in this New Year 2019 with a large dose of encouragement. For this month’s card, I wanted to say, “Get Well.”
Tea Time
There’s nothing like a warm cup of tea to make someone feel better. This teapot and cup are from the Tea Together stamp set in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. They are cut with a FREE die set, Tea Time, from the Sale-A-Bration brochure; FREE because of my qualifying $100.00 order. How fun is that!
I wanted this teapot and cup to look antique, and I thought The Crackle Paint background stamp would look like crazing. I inked the Crackle Paint stamp in Sahara Sand ink, and stamped it on Thick Very Vanilla cardstock. Then, I stamped the teapot and cup on the stamped Crackle Paint, using the same Sahara Sand ink. The crazing is a bit overdone, but this tea set is VERY old.
For decoration, I stamped a flower from the Tea Together stamp set; three on the teapot, and one on the cup. My Aqua Painter colored the flowers nicely with three ink colors: Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake.
The Sahara Sand cardstock table (card base) has a lace tablecloth made from Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Paper covering Petal Promenade DSP.
The sentiment, “Get Well,” is from the Well Said stamp set (Occasions catalog), and cut with a die from the Merry Christmas die set (Holiday 2018). The inside says, “Sending healing thoughts your way,” and both sentiments are stamped in Crumb Cake ink.
To complete my “get well” card, I colored one more flower, and used its die for cutting. I also decorated the Very Vanilla envelope with a piece of Petal Promenade DSP.

How excited I am to be creating my first post for Paper Players as a Guest Designer!
I get to design a project, once a week, for an entire year! This is such an awesome opportunity to be among this fabulous group of designers. Our first challenge is “crazy about critters,” and I couldn’t wait to get started!
Friends Forever
Cat Punch was excited also, when she heard the theme was “critters.” She named herself Caramel, because of the color of her Wood Textures fur. She generously offered some space for the new Dog Punch, if he could have matching fur, and be named Goldie.
Who was I to argue? I’m delighted that they decided to be “friends forever.” They wanted me to stamp this sentiment from the Happy Tails stamp set (Pear Pizzazz ink) on a heart as proof.
I used a Be Mine Stitched die to cut the heart from Botanical Butterfly DSP, and a second heart from Thick Very Vanilla cardstock for the trim around the heart.
Caramel said I should match the card base to the heart trim, so the card base is Thick Very Vanilla.
For the background, I chose a piece of striped, Subtles 6X6 DSP, which I ran through the Big Shot with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. The Be Mine Stitched die set provided the long, narrow, die to add scalloping to the sides, matching the heart trim.
I really like that they are sitting together so nicely. Not being sure what would happen when the delivery man brought Goldie to the door, I love that they chose to be “friends forever.”

Today’s project was inspired by this week’s CAS(E) this sketch.
Just A Note
I immediately recognized the sketch, and sure enough, it’s “retro.”
But, I couldn’t recall how I used it, so curiosity lead me to peeking into history. If you’d like to see my project from a year ago, here it is:
Lots Of Lavender Occasions 2018
For today’s project, I felt like making music, so stamped the Sheet Music background stamp with Sahara Sand ink, and pressed Whisper White cardstock on top of it. This is backwards from normal stamping, but it insures I get a nice impression.
Next, I found my favorite, little song bird in the Petal Palette stamp set, along with her branch for perching. I stamped the bird in Soft Suede ink, and the branch in Garden Green. They fit nicely within a Stitched Shapes circle die, which I raised on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “Just a Note,” from Flourishing Phrases says just the right thing, don’t you think? I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink, and used a Rectangle Stitched die for cutting.
For the background, I chose a piece of Mint Macaron 6X6 Subtles DSP, with horizontal stripes mimicking the Sheet Music. It received the Rectangle Stitched treatment to match the other shapes, before gluing to the Mint Macaron card base.
