If you’re like me, you usually think of a tag as something to tie on a package. Today, I’m letting this tag from the Botanical Bliss bundle take center stage on the front of my card.
Botanical Bliss Tag
I love this die cut with the two sweet birds. I have, previously, snipped the birds from the tag to use on recent projects. Today, you are seeing the complete tag, because there’s a “tag” theme going on at the Less Is More challenge site.
When I saw the theme was “tags, “I immediately grabbed the Botanical Tags die set along with the Botanical Bliss stamp set, and started thinking about the colors I would use. I chose Sahara Sand for the card base, layered with Pool Party cardstock (textured with the Subtle embossing folder), and Bermuda Bay cardstock for the tag.
I cut a 2″ strip of Bermuda Bay cardstock for the tag, and then used the die to cut the pretty detailed pattern at the top. The Braided Linen Trim made a perfect tie for the top.
“Happy Birthday” (stamped in Bermuda Bay ink) is in the Botanical Bliss stamp set, and fits nicely within a square Stitched Shapes die cut. The two, Sahara Sand sprigs, growing from the card base, were also made with a die that’s in the Botanical Tags die set.
This clean and simple card was quick & easy. The tag would make a great “tie on a package” tag too!

I think I just created my favorite Christmas card of the year with the Detailed Santa die set!
Detailed Santa

I’m having fun with the new Buffalo Check background stamp, and today it’s making a Christmas box for the Cookie Cutter Gingerbread Man. Instead of “Jack-in-the-Box,” he is “Gingerbread-in-the-box.”
Gingerbread-in-the-Box
First, I stamped the Buffalo Check with Real Red ink on Thick Whisper White cardstock. The Stamparatus tool insured I would get a perfect coverage of ink.
Next, I used “Merry,” a die from the Merry Christmas die set, to cut the word from the top of my stamped Buffalo Check. Then, I layered it for sturdiness, and glued it, lining it up with the pattern, for a “partial eclipse.” It’s hard to see the dimension in the pictures, but the Buffalo Check piece is raised on Foam Adhesive Strips.
To complete the sentiment, I stamped “Christmas” (Merry Christmas to All stamp set) in Real Red ink, and used the label die (Merry Christmas die set) for cutting.
For the background, I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with the Tin Tile embossing folder. It has a country home, kitchen feel about it, don’t you think?
This is where the Gingerbread Man (Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set) “popped” into my head. Isn’t he cute jumping out of the box? I stamped him in Crumb Cake ink on Whisper White cardstock, and Punched him out with his Cookie Cutter Punch. I used the punch for his little Real Red cardstock heart also.
The whole Idea for this card began with this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge. Challenges are great for inspiration!
Finally, for a touch of green, I added three Garden Green, pine sprigs from the Pretty Pines die set. I used a Crumb Cake card base to complement the Gingerbread Man.
This was so much fun to create. I really enjoy combining well loved products with brand new offerings. I’m so glad I didn’t pass on the Buffalo Check background stamp.

Fall is in the air, even in San Diego. We still have warm days, but there is a crispness in the mornings. And, though not plentiful, you can find trees with colorful, changing, leaves.
Today’s Thanksgiving card is a Buffalo Check (background stamp) tablecloth with two fallen leaves.
Thanksgiving Tablecloth
My inspiration for the layout is from Freshly Made Sketches.
And, the colors are from Paper Players.
I began with a card base of Thick Very Vanilla, and layered it with Mossy Meadow cardstock. My next layer is regular weight Very Vanilla cardstock, where I used a Seasonal Layers die to cut two leaves.
Next, I inked the Buffalo Check background stamp with the Mossy Meadow ink pad, and made my tablecloth. I should have stamped before die cutting the leaves, but the idea didn’t occur to me until this point. It was late last night, and I’m sharper in the morning. LOL
To make it look even more like fabric, I used my favorite Subtle Textured embossing folder. Then, my tablecloth was ready to adhere to the Mossy Meadow layer.
I used a second Seasonal Layers die to cut the intricately patterned leaves; one from Cajun Craze cardstock, and one from Crushed Curry cardstock. See how they fit perfectly in the leaf cut-outs?
The sentiment, “Happy Harvest Blessings,” is from the Country Home stamp set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow ink on Thick Very Vanilla, cut it with a Petals & More label die, and placed it on dimensionals.
I embellished my table with strands of Gold Thread, and three gold sequins from the Metallic Sequins assortment.
Now, I have to go shopping to find this tablecloth for my Thanksgiving table. It will be harder to find the leaves!

Isn’t this Snow Bunny cute? I just had to combine the Bunny Builder Punch with the Winter Woods stamp set.
Snow Bunny
Krista’s card at Global Design project was my inspiration. I was captivated by her color combination.
First, I used the Bunny Builder Punch to punch the bunny’s body, head and tail from Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then, I used Sahara Sand ink to brush his sides with a Sponge Dauber. His head and tail were easily attached to his body with Mini-Dimensionals.
Next, I stamped the trees from the Winter Woods stamp set in Mint Macaron ink on Whisper White cardstock. The trees were embossed by the Softly Falling embossing folder, layered on Grapefruit Grove cardstock, and adhered to the Sahara Sand card base.
The sentiment, “You make me smile,” is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. It was stamped in Highland Heather ink on a 1″ strip of Thick Whisper White cardstock, and cut with the Banner Triple Punch. I gave it some texture with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. Snow Bunny hopped to his spot, supported by dimensionals.
But, I couldn’t stop there; Snow Bunny wanted to be in some Christmas cards. So, I changed a few things, and made one inspired by Krista.
And, one in traditional Christmas colors.

The cute hippo in the Animal Expedition Designer Series paper was my inspiration for today’s birthday card. I’m always trying to think of something different, and I came up with “Hippo Birdie” for “Happy Birthday,” only to discover this wasn’t an original thought. Oh well, I still think it’s clever, and it makes me laugh.
Hippo Birdie To You
Once again, I relied on the Labeler Alphabet stamp set to supply the words I needed. I stamped the letters in Basic Gray ink on Whisper White cardstock, and used Paper Snips to cut them neatly around the sides.
The card base is Basic Gray with a frame of Animal Expedition DSP. The frame was made by using the largest Stitched Shapes oval to cut a hole in the center of the 4″ X 5 1/4″ DSP.
I glued the frame to the card base, and then glued the letters spelling, “Hippo Birdie To You.”
The birdie on Hippo’s nose was fussy cut, also from Animal Expedition DSP. You can see her friends flying around in the frame.
I lifted Hippo and Birdie on dimensionals, smiling the entire time. To complete the project, I decorated the envelope with a Basic Gray DSP, which is on the opposite side of the hippo pattern.
