This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using three, new 2026-2028 In Colors: Hydrangea Hue, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Golden Glow. I hope you’ll be inspired by our designers, then create your own project, using these colors. And, remember to tag it #gdp549.

I began with a fan favorite, Hydrangea Hue, for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I created a stencil using the Eyelet Blooms Die, April’s Product of the Month. (Last check, it was still available). After cutting the stencil, I placed it on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″, and used a Blending Brush to color the white paper through the holes. This stenciled layer was glued to the card base.

Hydrangea Hue, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow
The “In Colors” are displayed beautifully in Bloom Boutique Designer Paper, which I used to cut five flowers with the second smallest Scalloped Blooms Die. Then, I used the Scalloped Blooms circle die to cut the flower centers from matching designer paper. All were lifted on Dimensionals, and attached to the card front.

The sentiment, “You’re the sweetest,” is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hydrangea Hue Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Scalloped Blooms Die for cutting. After attaching it with Dimensionals, my card was complete.

Today’s card was an experiment, and I like how easy it was to do.There is an extra large die in Scalloped Blooms Dies, so I thought it would be fun to make a scalloped card base, which measures 4 1/4″ X 4 1/2″. I began with a Gray Granite card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Scalloped Card Base
Then, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the largest Scalloped Die, cutting off just a couple scallops on the folding edge.

Next, I used the second largest Scalloped Die to cut a bicycle pattern from Waterside Retreat Designer Paper. Then, I cut the left edge to match the scallops on the card base, and glued it to the card front. I used the same die to cut Basic White Cardstock for the inside. “Happy Birthday” is from the Lovely Arrangements Stamp Set. I stamped it in Cajun Craze Ink on Waterside Retreat Designer Paper, used a Lovely Arrangements Die for cutting, and glued it in place. Prior to gluing, I layered it on Cardstock for thickness.

After adding three, Metallic Gems, my scalloped card was complete.

I began today’s card with a Fragrant Layers Die, cutting Thick Basic White Cardstock. Then, I layered it on red, Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Paper, and backed it with Thick Basic White Cardstock, 2 1/2″ X 3 1/2″.

Beautiful Ordinary Life
Next, I used the same die to cut a section of yellow, Beautiful Ordinary Life DSP, to fill in the flower centers. The centerpiece was attached, with Dimensionals, to a black and white pattern of Ordinary Life DSP, 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “thanks a million,”is from the Banner Sayings Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting, and attached it with glue on the right side, and two Mini Dimensionals on the right side. The two, butterflies, from Floral Flight Accents, were glued in place, and my card was complete.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

We all love embossing folders! Today’s card features the Floral Spray Embossing Folder from the Valley In Bloom Suite. I began by embossing two pieces of Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4 “, with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder. Then, I glued one piece to a Barely Blush card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4”, and fussy cut the hibiscus flower and five leaves from the other piece.

Hibiscus For You
Next, I colored the hibiscus with Blending Brushes and two colors of ink: Golden Glow and Crisp Cantaloupe. After coloring, I attached the flower to the card front with Dimensionals, along with the five, white leaves. These were placed on top of the original design, simply adding dimension.

The words “For You” are from Words & Wishes Dies, cut from Barely Blush Cardstock, doubled for thickness, and glued in place. For a little shine, I added Sunset Sparkle Sequins. I smile everytime I use these sequins, remembering this was a gift at OnStage, and what a fun time we had.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE a fun design by Kim Gibbons Fee. Her “sweetest” design is wonderful, which inspired my design. We’d love to see what you create, so please share it on social media, and tag it #gdp548.

I began with a Hydrangea Hue card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Isn’t this new color beautiful? Then, I cut a layer of Hydrangea Hue Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/2″, embossed it with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder, and glued it to the card base.

Bloom Boutique with Lazy Daisy
Next, I cut another piece of Hydrangea Hue Cardstock, 2 1/2″ X 4″, and layered it with Bloom Boutique Designer Paper, 1/8″ smaller. This was layered with a second pattern of Bloom Boutique Designer paper, 2 3/8″ X 1 1/2″. Prior to gluing the second pattern, I gave it detailed edges with a Bordered In Beauty Die. Then, I attached the entire piece to the middle of the card front.

“Sending smiles” is from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. I stamped it in Hydrangea Hue Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Lovely Arrangements Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a last detail, I attached three tiny, In Color Butterflies. I don’t have the pretty ribbon that Kim used, so you’ll have to imagine it.

The Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder is so much fun to use! It’s a “hybrid,” because it does the embossing and cutting at the same time. First, I matched the die to the embossing folder; you can feel when it clicks into place. Then, I added green, Valley In Bloom Designer Paper, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, to the folder, and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. After lifting the cut leaves, I glued this to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing
Next, I stamped seven flowers from the Paradise Garden Stamp Set in three colors on Basic White Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo, and Strawberry Slush. Then, I glued two flowers, and attached five flowers with Dimensionals.

“Thank You” is from the Paradise Garden Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Valley In Bloom DSP, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, set it with the Heat Too, and used a Paradise Garden Die for cutting. It was placed across the center of the card with Dimensionals. As a final detail, I added five Iridescent Pearls.

I’m sharing with this week’s TGIF challenge.
